Sir, why is estoppel not a rule of equity? Please explain this. Rather it is always said that estoppel is based upon the principles of Equity and justice.
It seems, 'estoppel does not lie against law' ...only show law is generally prospective, particularly in civil matters..Any representation made earlier based on existing law (then), may become useless if law gets changed at the time of its performance. Impossibility part may occur..
Sir, मुझे मेरे service provider ने अपने पैनल के हॉस्पिटल मे cashlees इलाज के लिए भेजा, उसके पैनल हॉस्पिटल ने बताया कि आपके पैनल मे covid test नहीं है इसलिए test का payment Rs. 900/- आपको bear करना पड़ेगा. मैंने अपने service provider को Rs. 900/- कि payment के लिए legal notice भेजा और उसने reply मे Rs. 900/- का bill जमा कर payment लेने को कहा .. बाद मे अपने written statement मे गुमराह करते हुए बोला कि इसके लिए मेरा पैनल का hospital जिम्मेदार है, hospital को party बनाओ और hospital से Rs. 900/- लो... क्या यहाँ पर भी estopple का principle काम करेगा, क्यों कि पहले legal notice के reply मे Rs. 900/- कि payment करने की बात accept कि थी..

Sir mai upsc optional mai law Lena chahti hun hindi medium se sir kya law Hindi medium se theek rahega isse marks par koi fark to nhi padega. Sir plz ye bhi btana ke upsc optional law ke liye books kaunse writer ki le lun plz sir ans jarur kijiyega.
Medium doesn't effect the talent, it totally depends upon the way u write ur answer in Hindi language. But Sry I can't suggest u the writer who wrote law books in Hindi medium as I don't know much about Hindi writers

Sir the language of bare act says ''in any suit or proceeding'' in section 115. So it doesn't mean that estoppel is applicable to criminal proceedings also.?????
