Controversial statement, but I love mock tudor. It's warm, neat and homely, whereas real tudor is higgledy piggledy and cramped. 1920s, 30s and 40s are a golden era for Britsh buildings particularly homes as far as I'm concerned.
You are not alone. The houses were well built and it was the time things like fitted kitchens and integral garages were added. The best ones have design features like stained glass widows and sunburst gates.
