I just did this last week, found a cut off wheel made real quick work of it! Just sliced it on the top and pulled 'me out the bottom. Did the outside ring first, cut the bearing piece off and then took out the inside ones.

I've never had the caps of the ceiling fan come off easy. I usually beat the hell of of them with the claw end of a hammer. I don't have a vice so I place a screwdriver in the hole of the opposite end of the screwed on piece and turn with my hand, usually comes off pretty easily.

After cutting the copper. (which you Showed me on a another video.) I had found using fencing pliers works well to pull out the copper. My scrapyard tells me the arms on the fan that holds the blades are zink. Which they consider it be dirty aluminum. I really don’t know so I just roll with it.

    • @Okiescrapper

aluminum is lighter and sometimes you can tap it with a wrench and the sound will give it away, some times it is hard to tell if something is aluminum or plastic, I have to grind into it, the more you do it you will be able to tell, it comes with time

is that like saying that the scrap and pallet man has already done a curb scrapping video? there are only so many things a person can scrap and sooner or latter they will have to repeat videos, and a lot of people don't go back into the archives to see what I have already made videos of. and always new people coming to the channel for the first time.
