    This tubeless tire valve actually works. When i tired to fill it with air using a 10z can, what my tire inflatior did was compress the can with air up 120 psi only once now it will only compress it with 40 psi. I am guessing what you need is an actual air compressor and not a tire inflatior. With the tire inflator i would only get about 4.5 seconds of air because i would have to unscrew the tire inflator from the tube less tire valve in which in doing so release some of the air from the can. My best bet would be to refill at a gas station inflator or get my own air compressor since i needed one anyway.

    Nice, but the part you don't show is that you have to shake and discard all the DEBRIS generated by the drills and the sandpaper. This might be kind of obvious for some people, and that's why you didn't show it, but judging from the comments, some of your viewers have no idea... The debris could clog the spray nozzle or eject a small piece of metal at a very high speed towards a delicate piece of electronic. Thank you.

    Well this is quite interesting! You know I'm a sound mixer for independent films/documentaries, and we usually find ourselves recording in very harsh and remote locations where dust and particles end up causing malfunction and damage to our equipment. This -pretty clever- device could allow us to travel with just one empty can and a small portable bicycle air pump. Saving us the trouble of carrying or sending the gas cans abroad by flight. With the advantage of being able to re-use it even without a electricity dependent air compressor to fill it up. Thank you for this video!

    • @highlandspiper8838
      @highlandspiper8838 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Etienne Dubois Yes we get it. You know sometimes you can just let a idea be good for what its good for, and not try and shit on everything that isnt to your standard or wasnt your* idea.. My God, go find something else to do and quit trying to nay say everything .. I know this may come as a surprise... but we really are smart enough to know that this is makeshift way to get a few seconds of air for indoor projects where you need a quick burst of air but dont want to bring a huge air compressor in the house- and dont have a fluorocarbon can available. So I know this may come as a surprise, but you dont have a monopoly on realizing somethings limitations... RME

      The can *should* be able to hold around 70 psi safely, but it will break at a lower pressure if your valve isn’t attached well.
      If you don’t want the valve to fly off the can, or if you don’t want your can to turn into a grenade, use 30-45 psi.

      @@nateb4543 Typical air duster cans have a max pressure of 145 psi. If you use a bike floor pump or a compressor, you could go to 120 or so with margin for error. Wear a hazmat suit just in case and so you don't catch the 'VID. Oh, and check the rated pressure for the valve. It's often 65 psi, but high-pressure versions are only a bit more expensive and can handle 100 to 180 psi depending on the model. The only other factor then is the quality of the hole you cut. I've seen some people solder a stem in instead of using a snap-in, but the extra work isn't worth it IMO.

    • @Rangermanlv
      @Rangermanlv 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eksine you are a moron and your comments on a lot of other people's comments in here just prove that. As far as moisture getting into electronics it's going to depend on the humidity in your area how much moisture gets inside the can and how much of it actually ends up coming out when you're using it to blow off electronics. Most companies use a form of ethane gas in these canisters because it's easily freezable and stays liquefied under room temperatures and this also has the added benefit of it almost completely evaporating as it expands and leaves the can. It should also be noted that this way of recharging a compressed air can is not going to have nearly as much air in it as an original one would. Good idea but the video needs more information about the process and what benefits and drawbacks there are to it.

    Just FYI from my first try on this: trying to twist the tire (tyre) valve into the hole, even after sanding it a bit: the edges of the hole are still very thin alumin(i)um, which bit into the rubber of the valve, and cut it like a corkscrew-in-reverse, destroying it. Fortunately I have one more -- I bought a 2-pack from Amazon - but am going to be MUCH more cautious trying #2. I'd certainly suggest some lubrication (Vaseline/petroleum jelly) to help squish the thing in, which I'll try. Also I think the drill size of 3/8" is a bit small, as the standard hole size is actually 11.5mm (.453") and 3/8" is .375" -- the 11.5mm hole is almost exactly 29/64 drill bit size in the Imperial world, a good bit larger than 3/8! - I'm going to enlarge and try again.

    Just a precautionary suggestion. Unplug the fan. Doesn't take much to damage a video card from current created by circulating the fan . Ideal situation remove fan and clean fan and fan blades with a dry tooth brush .With the heatsink a quick blast of air should suffice. Wear an anti static strap when handling circuit boards for added protection :)

    • @VSPhotfries
      @VSPhotfries 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isn't the fan on a different circuit past power management? I can't imagine even a rather low-end card being built with the fan having a direct, unprotected connection to the other components...

    • @eksine
      @eksine 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the fan will just stop. I doubt it would be permanently damaged. but I do agreed just turn off the computer first, it prevents you from touching the power supply or a capacitor and killing yourself. the fan is the least of your worries

      I would recoment less that this 10 PSI they are talking about coz your can structural integrity is compromised and you dont want a rubber valve to hit you or somebody when it will shoot out.

    • @AtlasReburdened
      @AtlasReburdened 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rubber valve isn't really the dangerous part. Explosive decompression + thin sheet metal = Missing fingers.

    • @highlandspiper8838
      @highlandspiper8838 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AtlasReburdened compressed air will not be enough to fragment that can and take off finger. That can would separate at a metal seam and lose what little pressure it had ..the thin metal is to pliable and would simply rupture and split or blow a seam out or more likely blow out at the weakest point the valve would blow out. I do imagine it could hurt you of the valve was blown out into your or another's eye, and it could theoretically cut you when it split, but I doubt it...I would imagine however that it would scare the Sh*t out of you when it popped.

      compressed air would push dirt into the seat, not good. just goto a car wash and use their vacuum for $1, use a spray bottle with some dish soap and water to get the seats wet and keep vacuuming. those machines have good suction. again do not be stupid and blow air into the seat, that is fully retarded

      I was thinking about the same when I saw he made a hole near the top.
      When I made mine, many years ago, I drilled a small hole in the side near the bottom of the can, where the metal is thicker.
      Then I glued on an inner tube valve and secured it with a hose clamp.
      If I were to make one today, I'd probably go for the same valve he's using, but I think I would put it in the middle of the bottom.
      That seems to be the strongest part. (At least on the type of can I have.)
      It would prevent the can from standing up, but that's not an issue for me.

      you need a bicycle pump, air compressor with a gauge most cans take around 100 ~ 150 psi. if you have a large WD40 can i recommend 100 ~ 150. To be safe, put around 95 psi. for smaller or medium WD40 cans, i recommend 50 ~ 60 psi. To be safe, put around 45 psi
