Mullet in estuaries - WEED IS NO PROBLEM

Went fishing for mullet once, used a small snap swivel attached to a clear bubble float, 6lbs fleuro carbon, size 14 hook and a thawed out mackerel strip.
Using an old John Wilson quiver tip .
What an epic fight.

Try a running paternoster rig, works amazing at keeping weed off the bait.

Great tips. The extra long leader from the swivel should work where I fish. Going to give me a better chance of fishing out going tide rather than the top of incoming that I do now.
