As someone who hasn't played actively since Omen of Ten I'm very excited for the new game. I tried coming back around academy and the power creep was so high and my collection was so worthless that even after burning every deck I had built up I could barely make a couple decks that I didn't understand and ended up bouncing back off. I think the fresh start will be great for new players and old school returners like myself. I actually started watching Igni again purely because of excitement for Worlds Beyond lol
Was a big fan of Shadowverse 1. Dropped it a couple of years in because I had other commitments in life. Tried to get back in a year or so ago, but couldn't because there was too much to catch up on. Shadowverse Worlds Beyond is a new starting point for me. Can't wait.
I'm super excited for Worlds Beyond to release, I was just getting back into Shadowverse when it got announced so now I'm excited to play the new one. Makes me want to play through Champions Battle
I'm a little worried. I'm still going to play the game. I've dumped over 4k hours in the 4 years I've played, I'm invested enough that I'm playing the new game no matter what. I'm concerned about them investing time into expanding the scope of the game for it not to work out. You have a game like Mahjong Souls. What's the incentive to get them to play WB when they've spent a bunch of time on another mobile mahjong game? I hope there's really good synergy in the resources you get between the activities. If someone really likes mashing on jong that the time they spend there lets them still have a meta relevant deck in the card game.
On one hand this is the company that took seven years to release ReLink. On the other hand this is the company that took seven years to release ReLink.
you can take titles, card sleeve and earn card pics for your digital room in Worlds Beyond (basically the characters you own you can't get them but you get pics to put in your room wall)
"It's been a week since the game released"
Oh no...
💀

I would give anything for a Fishing side-tournament
For the record, As I predicted, Dec 2023 was one of the subreddit's best months in years and July 2024 was our worst ever. >2/3rds dropped off.

It’s very telling that a lot of competitive players and content creators don’t even play OG shadowverse anymore. For years even.

The game will only benefit from a new slate, that's about it.
