@@vincentweaver6038 that can also be seen as confusing as well. if you think about it Gaia can also be seen as Aloy's mother which would also make Elisabeth Aloy's Grandmother (and others) by creating Gaia. since if it wasn't for her actions (and those who worked with her) there wouldn't be anyone left. just an empty world. plus normal siblings can end up with a similar behavior pattern if for example one is still younger and the sibling ends up helping to raise them if something happens to their parents. a dual nature of sibling and parent (to a degree)

Sony didn't want the protagonist to be female? I need to see proof on that. We've had female led games and movies for decades and, despite modern media completely ignoring it, they tend to do quite well. Tomb Raider, Metroid, Resident Evil (Jill from 1 and 3, Claire from 2 and Code: Veronica), Remember Me, Mirror's Edge, and so many more. I didn't even count the games where you could choose the protagonists gender or games released after Horizon. I can't believe some Sony decision maker felt that way. For any game developer that didn't get the notice: Girls like having a female character they can control. Guys like having something nice to look at during the less action packed sequences. Go with the girl (or allow a selection) and you'll make more people happy. Just don't put any woke crap in your game. That'll bump the short term sales but kill the long term ones.
Im with you on this, 7 out of 20 biggest selling ps1 games had a female protagonist, Only 5 had a fixed male protagonist and they include the Crash trilogy, Spyro and Harry Potter (again not counting the games you could choose). I've looked it up and it seems like a bunch of people trying to be 'Woke af' have pulled a quote apart to suit this opinion, Heavenly Sword was a PS3 launch title!

Not gonna lie, didn't want to play Gravity rush as girl. Just that game though; wouldn't want to inherently play TR without Lara or Horizon without Aloy but i wanted to be a male in GR. Definitely merit in male protagonists in gaming since mainly boys them and they want to be boys in them primarily

It's been a long time since I played this but I think you have to get a Gold Sun medal or whatever it's called for every hunting lodge challenge.
speaking of games and birds kingdom come is the best i have seen so far.
lol no, most of this pretty much already explain by the npc we talk during the quest. especially the main quest, we have the chance to ask them for more in depth information about a lots of things. unless you just skip it and goes straight to the mission at hand.
They did such an excellent job on this - and fleshed out such a believable, likable and memorable lead character - that I’m afraid they’ll screw up the sequel...
And to think that we almost didn’t have #Baeloy as the main character.
Definitely didn't know this, and that!
This is my 2nd favorite game of all time. First is elder scrolls oblivion.
Jeeesh, NG+ here I come
I don't understand why anyone would hate female lead characters in a game, I for one love female characters after years of playing male characters. Plus I'd rather watch a female character than a male one 😂
😏😏😏😏
You could still sell this to me as a next-gen game
I found this game a few weeks ago by accident when watching another "10 things about games..." clip on TH-cam.
I was hooked from the 30-second scene that clip showed, and I have in no way regretted it or even hesitated over it. Loved it.
I probably wouldn't have bought the game if not for Aloy.
Even though I definitely enjoyed the game, I don’t think it’s this perfect end all be all of video games. It’s for sure got some issues.
Damn this game special for me
Sequel don't fail me now.
Your voice is nice.
They didn't think that a female aloy would sell? It's "Remember me" all other again.
And There Is A New Thing That Some Species Does Not Notice/The Whole Horizon Zero Dawn Game Does Not Tell Them About Spending The Skill Point On The Hunter Reflexes Skill First And Then Jump By Pressing The X Button And Hold The L2 Button While Jumping On The Highest Height Area Will Somehow Reduce Fall Damage Is Always Been If They Combined The Reduce Fall Damage With The Shield Weaver Armor Although All Kinds Of Species Are Not So Sure About Whether The Shield Weaver Armor Will Return In The Horizon Forbidden West Game Or Not Eh.
wouldn't she be more of a sister than a mother since she is more like a twin?
(spoilers) Halfway in-between or both. Clones are confusing. From an anatomical perspective, they weren't given birth to by the mother of the person whose DNA they have, so they aren't their siblings, but they do have identical DNA, making them twins. From a psychological perspective, since they don't have parents at all, they would most likely develop the same kind of bond with the original person as one does with a parent if the age difference is right.
Alloy is her own mother. LoL. Remember she's not a perfect clone, there's a slight deviation.
@@jenitoten2212 she is an exact clone. the deviation was explained as corrupted data rather than an alteration of her DNA. once you fix it she is noted to be 100% genetically identical.. making her an identical twin
@@stonerhino5035 no, still a slight deviation of .002 percent is not perfect. Close but not perfect. Unless they've changed it since last time I played, (Like with creatures crossing water.) I haven't gotten that far yet with the story. Hitting the Tallnecks and Forges. Just got to Meridian.
Wich part of thr game is that1 with all the tallnecks ? :O
I think the only time you see multiple tallnecks together is the prologue. That scene (and likely a few others in this video) were probably from pre-release builds.
@@Tiglath-Pileser3 oh i see thanks for info ! Shame tho looks good all the other machines running around multiple tallnecks :D
Should have been in game too
Sony didn't want the protagonist to be female?
@@TerenceA72 I loved Heavenly Sword! I’m still hoping for a remaster of that one.
*post post post post apocalypse
Sony would have preferred a male protagonist? That's a given.
It's interesting Sony balked at a female lead. It's the ONLY reason I played it. Glad I did.
What’s up with the narrator asking me to stay hydrated?
If you have an allergy to water, apologies.
@@nightcatarts lol no need to be sarcastic
It was just out of the blue
@@rocky99562476 Eh, it's summer here. Some people do have water allergies though.
@@rocky99562476 It wasn't out of the blue, Zoe does this...
And staying hydrated is important none the less...
@@nightcatarts water allergies? Is there actually something like that?
ahhhh Zoey :))))))) weeee
There was nothing special... Sorry but I want more flesh here :D Many stuff I saw in game and you know Im not stupid I love good lore in games. So That's why I know about a lot of thing which you let us to watch it
I don’t mind Aloy being a woman. Although it would have been cool to be able to chose either man or woman. It wouldn’t have changed anything about the game except for a couple voice actors and an extra male character for elisabet.
Really, Sony? Are we still of the opinion that having a female protagonist will hurt sales? Did Lara Croft teach you nothing?
Not gonna lie, didn't want to play Gravity rush as girl. Just that game though; wouldn't want to inherently play TR without Lara or Horizon without Aloy but i wanted to be a male in GR. Definitely merit in male protagonists in gaming since mainly boys them and they want to be boys in them primarily
CLICKBAIT I already knew 2 of those XD
I have it, but haven't played it, does it play at 60fps on PS5?
Unfortunately not, i played it on ps4 pro it wasn't bad at all. But it wouldn't hurt for them to release a 60fps patch. I'm now replaying it on my pc at 60fps. The sequel will have a 60fps mode on ps5 and i hope they do a 40fps fidelity mode ala ratchet and clank that would be great.
I can't even play the game, the audio is so trash and compressed that it kills immersion, you'll only notice it on higher end headphones btw
Hmmmmm
