Believe it or not, but going tribal actually turned out to be less expensive/easier. We could skip some paperwork that otherwise would have demanded that I flew to Cebu or Manila (Swedish embassy/consulate). And we were going to have lechon, but the pig wasn't ready (that's another still ongoing story actually, lol).
Every tribe (there are MANY) in the Philippines has their own wardrobe, and in many cases language (😬). My wife is starting to pick up some Matigsalug, and I know "asu" (dog)! I'll learn Bisaya eventually, but it is not an easy language to learn imo!
Matigsalug. There are lots of different tribal groups in Bukidnon, but in this area Manobo/Matigsalug are the main ones. If I understand correctly, Matigsalug split off from Manobo. Tboli is the biggest around Lake Sebu, my wife mentioned (her sister got married there, nice place).
wow, you guys went all out !
we went to the mayors office and signed papers then had a party with lecheon and drinks.

LET'S EAT 😅😅😅😅
We had a lot of plastic "Tupperware" containers before that day. Not any after the family left! 😁
