Also, Ive always wanted to go to Dolomites I just need to put an itinerary together which is a little bit of a challenge, need to read more recommendations! Do we really have to drive there? Hi Mel. Thank you! 😊 You should definitely go, it’s worth it! It’s not necessary to drive there. You can take the bus from the Marco Polo airport straight to Cortina d’Ampezzo for example. It will also stop in other villages on the way. It is called Cortina Express 101 (you can find it on google maps). And there are also local busses that go to the popular (and less popular) hiking areas. We rented a car because it gave us more flexibility, and for the next part of our trip 😉
