This is a great approach to a video! Actually teach people who are maybe new to the hobby a few pertinent facts. The other approach that I like to see is vintage tractors working in the field with vintage implements. Let;'s give the implements some of the same love we're giving the tractors!
Thanks for keeping the videos flowing during these trying times...
The sound of a two-cylinder John Deere always brings me home. I wish I had one just to start up and listen to it.....brings back all the memories of my Dad and Mom, my brothers, and the farm.
The last version on the D.. The "Streeter" D is a very collectible and valuable piece as well..
I could spend a million dollars on a resto & you best believe it still wouldn't be a trailer queen. Neat video, thanks!
What a neat little tractor, would be one of the better old model I've seen, like it.
Good video! very knowledgeable gentlemen👍
In the 1950s, hiways put up signs along highway 83 in the swan river valley prohibiting lugged wheels. I grew up south of Benito , Manitoba on a farm right by that highway. We had a Minneapolis Moline Z and a model 620 Johnny popper.
Nice old tractors! God bless America!!!
Very cool tractor excellent John Deere 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great video
Good stuff. Injoyed this!
Very nice and you all be safe out there.
Well.... You'd have to be quick to get it through 😄

Thanks also.
more videos with this guy. great approach
Great video!
I believe the Spoker D is the first version of the D.. And likely worth the most and most collectible..
Very well put 👍🇺🇸
Johnny popper man that brings back memories
So true
Great show
I agree with Chris, a tractor is made to work... completely original rust and all.
Cool.
“It’s only original once” -some auctioneer. I’ve herd that from many different auctioneers, usually trying to sell a pile of scrap iron in the shape of a tractor.
Drew w sounds just like a garage sale in New York...it’s an antique it’s worth more than it originally sold for which is code for I can’t sell it to you cheap because you may re-sell it and make more money than me.
Wonder if nickel hole D would still be worth as much if the flywheel had been replaced in its working life?
i want one in farming simulator!

it takes a true collector to appreciate the rarity of it ?????
Well that’s the same with anything. If you appreciate the rarity you are a true collector.
And if you had a runaway engine you could just put a steel bar through the spokes...
The problem was 2 cylinder design was faulty from the beginning, it took until 1960 to figure that out. Good video though.
Popping John’s were great tractors. I don’t know you but I can tell your young. Well I was young once too and probably said just as stupid stuff. Go in Peace
@@keithmartin1627 I guess 70 is young. Thanks for the compliment!
We have all different brands. I enjoy all of them. John Deere sold on simplicity. Less parts. More simple.
I agree but I didn't want to stir sh-- ! Haha
Don 66Hotrod In what way do you think i the two cylinder John Deere was faulty
