Ohio State really needs a 50+ yard FG kicker and top punter and a kickoff specialist to back him up!

True, Jay Fielding is iffy, at times, we hope it doesn't come down to a fg

Ewers needs Ohio State more than we need him. Stick with Sayin. Your recruiting of QBs will not be good if all we do is go get transfers. Go Bucks

Don’t fall asleep on ND! They will be tough and a turnover, plus a few penalties (or an injury) and make it a really tough game! Buckle down, and play hard!

Buckeyes need to bring their best stuff to the last game and leave it all on the field. ND will be bringing their best.
    Leave no doubt. Go Bucks!!!

No to Quinn, unless Day has serious doubts about the qbs on hand. I don’t see how you go get portal qbs every year without hurting recruiting.

Please please don’t let us get to overconfident! I want this win so much. It has been ten long years. We should never have to wait ten years. I know that it isn’t that easy. Well for OSU we should be in a saturation to complete for a National Championship almost every year. I don’t think I am being cocky as a Buckeye fan. We are one of a very very few Colleges that can boast about being who are what we are. Go Buckeyes!

I think after the game vs uknowwho I have to believe that being overconfident is not in there mindset. I think the Texas game gave them a little bit of a check after the 2 prior dominating performances. I like the fact that we won first and foremost and the game was in doubt in the final minutes. Just a little something after all the praise it showed them that they are not invincable unstoppable force if they were getting a little big headed. A little scare so to speak to keep them in reality. The fact that they are a upperclassmen dominated roster that has won no hardware I would suspect has to keep them focused being this is the last chance to get something to remember and be proud of.

There is no reason we cannot win every 5-10 years. Most profitable football team in college.

I think that if a guy leaves the team because you wasn't going to get playing time, and you know the same will happen again. There are more players coming every year and the competition will be fierce

Ewers really isn't that good. Manning should have been playing. Ewers panics when the tough get going... stay away from him... he chose leave... don't let him look back.

I might be in the minority but if Ryan Day and Kelly think that Ewers or any other portal qb is a better option for next year I trust them to do what's they think is best, not us fans who only see glimpses, not day in and day out like the coaches. J.J. is here for 2 more years along with the other great young talent, I believe you need to take full advantage and if they think Sayin needs more grooming and whomever else would be a better option for the next season then so be it in my opinion.

@ I saw that right after I posted. They should have tried to keep him. Or get a guy similar to Howard. Which Noland so think was supposed to be a duel threat.

No no no why would we do that He's already proven to be lag happy because him being on a bench for a few years and injuries don't do it

Nearly 50 percent of player compensation for NFL or college NIL is paid by taxpayers, because salaries and promotions are tax deductible.

Quinn Ewers time is past unless Ryan Day, Chip Kelly & Brian Hartline have doubts the Julian Sayin, and Tavien St. Clair backed up by Lincoln Kienholz are not good enough? Who’s better to choose? Those 3 coaches, not a bunch of fans!

Would Sayin's chances of starting at Ohio State actually be better if he were to go in the portal, start for a year somewhere else and then return with a resume?

What I think this is going to do this is going to eventually kill off the running quarterback nobody wants to invest a bunch of money into a quarterback that can get hurt basically on his first play from scrimmage instead of a pocket passer that can run if he needs to run like will Howard will Howard to me looks like he can move really well for a big quarterback to all the haters out there that try to say that he's not a great Ohio State quarterback are out of your goddamn Minds in the last 20 years not one starting Ohio State quarterback can ever win the big game think about it when we won on the Urban Meyer he went down and if he didn't go down we would have lost or remind us to never let Joe burrow go if people want to say CJ Stroud well CJ Stroud always lost the big game no matter what and still does I believe will Howard will go down as one of the best Ohio State quarterbacks in a long time he's basically won three bowl games in a row also I think he will do really well in the NFL it's quarterbacks like him that end up doing really well especially with all the hate even from some Ohio State fans

Quinn Ewers has lived off his over hyped recruiting rankings since high school. I have never watched him and have been wowed, in fact I have watched him and told myself a mistake is coming, this would be a big mistake and a waste of good money HE AIN'T HIM fellas!!

To add to this, an education is important once you can no longer play football. You have to think of the fuure at some time, reality intrudes

He better not transfer back to OSU. His Longhorn legacy would be ruined. People would see him as a traitor if he competes against Arch when we play you all again in August.

Not if he plays against them and beats them then it lets them know they made the wrong choice.

Quinn Ewers has an amazing arm. I think his deep ball accuracy is an upgrade over Howard and certainly better than McCord was.
Ewers could help OSU beat Texas in the first game which is quite ironic.
But Julian Sayin has JJ McCarthy / Stroud comparisons so he is elite too.
I trust Day and Chip to make the right call.
Imagine a 5th year Senior in Ewers leading an offense with JJ, Tate, Inniss, Max Klatt and a mostly seasoned OL outside of OT

Noland is still there too. You don’t want to lose both of them for a minimal upgrade over Howard. Edit: Did not realize Noland left for South Carolina.

Heard he had a 500k buyout from Georgia that TOSU refused to pay. I'm not sure if this is true and how a school can even have a buyout.

Ohio state has more money, true. The money is finite, though and only so much can be spend on any one given player. I’m sure Missouri overpaid, the kid is good but it’s not like he’s a Caleb downs.

Come on I feel he had his chance here at Ohio State and then he couldn’t beat us playing for Texas. He would have been a starter by now but he couldn’t wait for his turn period.
