this match was 99 - Mcgrath so called era was 2 decades. He was better post 2000 imo. In the 90s I felt Warne and Mark Waugh were the match winners obviously Mcgrath is up there for Australia. But in ODI - Aravinda De Silva was the best match winner - certainly in this format of the game. Infact he took Mcgrath apart atleast 6 times - despite playing for the vastly inferior team.

Jadeja scored Century with Shane Warne's appreciation. I saw Jadeja handle the nerves and plays better in critical situations. Luckily it was not repeated in 2011 World Cup, but other than that I am seeing the history is repeating when India is facing Australia in Knockout Situations.

The art of chasing targets began during Saurav's time with Sehwag, Yuvi, and Dhoni doing no-nonsense ducking and was perfected by Virat. Surprised to see people being so much critical of tendulkar's failures against mcgrath. Mcgrath himself is all time great bowler who had habit of picking opposition's best batsman. He troubled every great batsman of his era which includes Sachin, Lara, Kallis, Inzamam, Dravid..
In Indian team only match winner was Sachin before 2000 and on other side in Australian team every player was match winner, so every time Sachin had to play match winning innings and others players will just making attendance only, so in most of time Sachin was failed in important matches , that's true, but what other players doing, nothing, so why everyone criticise Sachin only, make comment on other 10 players also
