    I like it!
    I've learned, with inclines like that, to take kite string and with a slipknot, tie a waterbottle that rests on table, to upper end of item. It's enough to keep it from slipping down into the muck.

    Your enthusiasm made me smile. It reminds me (loosely) of flame stitch in needlepoint. Sometimes beauty isn't complicated. I'd love to see more variations on this theme.

    How many colors do you have already in this video, and you have the Pounds of Jars like 1.Ib, or 8. Oz, or Just a Jars of Pounds....???

    Damn bro!! I had to go back and watch it again just to see what the colors were again. I'm going to order them while dharma still has free shipping. Until then, I am about to try it with black cherry and gun metal gray.

    Duuuude! Excellent! I laughed about the son, been there done that. Ok after watching both of these tomorrow I am making one…or two. Thanks man.

    Just stunning. It really is. Are you using the sineu to make lines or to lightly hold the project? Can kite string be used?

  • @klandmeir
    @klandmeir 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you think having it slip into the muck affected the design? Also I haven't been able to find your washing technique. Do you use synthrapol or milsoft?

  • @jessicas.4898

    Ooh. I saw this vid earlier and I'm trying this dye atm. I have 2 shirts in half tubes in tubs in my bathtub, I used 3 and 4 colors on the. Also one is a long sleeve so I twisted the arms before I twisted the whole thing. *shrug* We'll see. About how long before and after the flip?

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only the two colors that I showed were used. The additional colors all come from the dye that was used splitting into it's component colors.

    Being you have the gutter at a 45°, how does the ice stay on the fabric without sliding down

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a "block" of aluminum foil to hold it in place at the bottom of the shirt.

  • @AreEff1987
    @AreEff1987 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is there a need for sinew ? I dont see any sinew lines? Could kite string been used or elastic bands instead

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sinew lines only appear if you pull the sinew very tight. For this design, the sinew was used solely to keep the general position of the fabric; so, rubber bands could have been used.

    You are right. That is a great shirt. Can you do this with just regular dyes?

    • @CasualCollisions
      @CasualCollisions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Liquid dyes? Yes; but, it won't have the same type of "streaking" that the ice dye does.

    • @CrazyOneToo
      @CrazyOneToo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CasualCollisions Is that what its called? Ice dyes? Sorry I am very new to tie dying but this is really incredible looking. You did one end then the other end but do you also turn it to the backside and do those sides also? Meaning 4 actual times you added dye and ice to the shirt?
