8 plus years of ownership and almost a lac KMs in XUV, I realised during city drives one can switch off ESP. Benefits- engine power delivery is seemless, it feels more powerful and smooth, increased fuel efficiency. Even on highways if u switch it off, it will automatically switch on if u cross 80 KMPH. Am sure most of XUV owners wouldnt know this, even MASS mechanics dont know about it.

Considering the safety like additional 4 airbags,esp, traction control,hill assist ,front parking sensors should I invest additional 1.4 lacks to get w8 optional varient. 14 lacks for sub 4 meter category seems too pricey.

Same function hai jo bataya. Ye stability ke liye hai vehicle ki in case of emergency. Slip na ho car uske liye. Automatically on hi hota hai and on hi rkhna chahiye. Lekin agar car slush mein fassi hai sirf tabhi off karne ki need ho skti hai.
So for a car to turn and day to day use. A differential is needed. So that wheels can spin in different speeds. When stuck in slush the tyre with less or no grip can spin and the tyre with grip can stay stuck. This is not the best for off roading. So for this differential lock is there to lock both wheels to spin at same speed. And both wheels spinning can help in off road conditions when stuck or going through gravel, slush or rocks. It should not be used on road in city only when off road.
No negatives. Its on by default always. And you can turn it off but not recommended. Negative is just in some off road conditions when you need tyre slip other than that no negatives.
In xuv there is a button below ac control. In som cars it’s on the right side of the steering wheel. And in some cars you need to use the infotainment to turn it off.

It’s not necessary but a good safety feature. Still the xuv 300 is a very safe car even without esp.

Yes it’s too pricey. Why not look at tata nexon for the same price range. It’s a very safe car. Good engine and more spacious.
Yes but sone how I don't like the engine refinement which xuv has. Confused between w8 and w8 optional.

Yes system mein malfunction hai. Service center mein check karvao maybe wiring issue only kyunki ye systems vaise kharab nhi hote.
