I see new faces for the US team and so far they still have a long way to go because they won twice in 5 sets and that is unlike them. Here they almost lost 2nd set but had a great come back to take 3-0. They have a long journey ahead but I still wish them well.
Definitely new faces, but their team was split up. This is just the group that traveled to Turkey. We'll see a different group at the next host city. For being first timers, they're hanging in!

Oh these are the B team and they are the new ones. Wait for the 2nd leg of the tournament for the seniors to play, which incidentally will be in the US. Being the host they are assured of playing in the final 6 whatever their standing on the first leg.

Great victory over a very cool team. Evans is a strong and tall setter like Poulter, let's see his evolution. O'neil very regular in the middle of the net. Butler showing he wants to be a starter. good for her to play. Rony still haven't seen her good game, she needs to improve, if she wants to be in the finals in the USA.

It’s actually quite hard to watch Korea at the moment. They have no options, basically running position 2 and 4 most of the time and getting stuff blocked for it. I don’t understand why they chose all these tall players with very little hand skills and agility; reception became a problem and therefore difficult to do any disguise/strategy - as their opponents are not threatened by the middle blockers. Then when the ball gets to P2 and P4 the outside hitters and opposites don’t have the jump height, variation and volleyball IQ to get around the block. They need to do some serious soul searching.
The coach is horrible. He never spends time with the team. He's a big problem.

u will forever see south korea in this tournament coz they are one of the founding and core teams. the spot that theyll get in danger is the olympic since thai team is stepping up their game and would probably get the spot for the asian quali also vietnam is a contender

@@rldnjs3999 where did you get this information? Afaik core teams are the founding countries who started this league and the major sponsors. Only 4 challenger will be relegated and there's this article that said VNL protects that rule. And rn challenger became 5 countries for women since russia as a core team got banned so they added 1 challenger team. Same goes with their men's. While in men's the relegation of china is due to financial instabilities although they are core team?
@@sushiyohay9357 oh actually I think you're right, sorry for the wrong info. btw I'm Korean and here many ppl are saying like core teams are protected only for 7 years, but I couldn't find any info about this neither :(
Asian teams are shorter than other teams and have a disadvantage, so I think it will be difficult for the Korean team, but Thailand and Japan are strong.

Korea's so bad these days. Losing KYK and Kim Suji was devastating for this team. Hopefully they can recover and get better, but I have a hard time seeing it happen.

US really doesn't give Korea any chance, they block every spike. They are not on the same level.
USA had and easy one today, tomorrow is going to be hard because Turkey is with full force and USA as usual will stick with the new and old faces, but is ok, first training week, go USA ❤️🇺🇸
Turkey already showing off their top players this early. Everyone else is reserving their big guns for the weeks up ahead.
Our team Turkey doesn’t play with the same players every match. We have a new coach and he wants to see every single player. There is rotation. We don’t have a certain top 6. For example our captain didn’t play yesterday. Every match 2 -3 players of our old top6 rest. Only Vargas hasn’t changed because it’s her first time in the team so we want her to adaptate, but Karakurt is also great. We have also Tuğba and Neriman they haven’t played
@@PuffOfSmoke I believe the only teams that haven’t show the rest of their squads are USA, Italy, Brazil, and Serbia, if I don’t mistaken

This is not an official tournament...Turkey is the country that sparked this idea...previously the name was not VNL...I forgot...but what is clear is that the core team country cannot be changed...anyway this tournament has no effect whatsoever

A volleyball tournament where teams from all over the world and teams from Asia take part should determine the height of the players. I understand it is an advantage over the opponent, but it is unbalanced sportingly. No matter how you fix the game, it has only a slight effect.
These highlights are horribly editied, volleyball can't rise in popularitiy if you guys continue to dish out half-assed promotional work.

Congratulations to the USA team on the win over Korean Team, but after watching the last few matches, especially this match, I don't think this USA team can stand a chance facing the strong teams in the tournament like Turkey or China or Poland unless...
I agree but considering they won against Italy, a team who beat them and placed third last year, and Serbia, who knocked them out of the finals in the first round, that tells you when the newbies become experienced, every country better watch out
Those teams you mentioned are playing most of their best players, especially turkey…this USA team is not even the B team, its C team
@@tylermcmanus-py3kj but those mentioned team are incomplete. Their aces are not playing and we know that when egonu and boskovic play, they carry their team. So i still fear that team usa has a low chance at facing those team in world championship and olympics.
Even if team USA will come out last, they will still be included in the final because USA is goingvto host the 2nd leg. That's their privilege. So for the mean time enjoy watching their C team(newbies) having their training.
