Loved this as a kid growing up. I had a ton of record books. It inspired me to make my own. I would draw and then use a tape recorder to act out the stories to my drawings. The first record book I had was Dracula, Terror in the snow. I am from NJ. I think the company Power Records was in NJ.
7:49 Captain America! I just love the Phoenix's voice, me and my brother were always laughing and quoting him when we were kids. 3:33 Out of my way FOOL! lol
@@fuzzybee5988 If you search for these two samples, it's not there but on another power records story, The Incredible Hulk At Bay ! th-cam.com/video/hzpJoUQR5iw/w-d-xo.html Listen to this at 6min42s and 2min32s.
I'm beginnin' to feel like a Rap God, Rap God All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod Now, who thinks their arms are long enough to slap box, slap box? They said I rap like a robot, so call me Rap-bot
This was my first record and book combo. I loved it. Wish I still had it. Captain America was, is, and always will be my favorite. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful memory from 47 years ago.
I remember when Phoenix came back as Zemo in 1982. The suit protected him from the Adhesive X. But his face was horribly scarred from not wearing the mask.
I've never forgot this story. It's a strong story with serious subject matter for a kid to listen to. The dialogue was mature for a 12 year old like me to hear in 1979.
When Captain America throws his mighty shield All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield He’s left to the fight ‘til the die is due And the red and the white and the blue come thru When Captain America throws his mighty shieeeeeeld.
I had never heard of this, and as a '70s kid, I should have! My similar prized possession from childhood was the Spider-Man "rockcomic," "Beyond The Grave." th-cam.com/video/ZWHEZF2pdgg/w-d-xo.html It had John Romita Sr. sequential art in the centerfold [no captions or balloons], and a special guest appearance from Dr. Strange! I think it's why I always liked Dr. Strange, even though his voice spooked me on the album! Spider-Man/Peter Parker is voiced by Rene Auberjonois (Odo on "ST:DS9")
Eminem's an even bigger nerd than we thought... I love it
😂😂
Technically its his producer 😂
For the samples used in Rap God, they are at 1:37, 6:13, 8:06, 12:55, and 13:32.
Thunderbirds501 Not all heroes wear capes! You're the real MVP!
Wtf bruh!! I thought Eminem said these sentences in his voice
you are the GOAT
In order: 6:13, 13:32, 1:37, 8:06, 12:55
For the sample used in Roblox, it's at 13:36

Only the "something's wrong I can feel it"
If that means what I think it means we're in trouble, big trouble

Doing God's work
So dark and epic. The tragic quality always got me, how Zemo's own ambitions led to madness and death.
This was my first record and book combo. I loved it. Wish I still had it. Captain America was, is, and always will be my favorite. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful memory from 47 years ago.
I had a bunch of these. Batman, Spider-Man, Star Trek. Damn I'm old.
This is so awesome ! I had this when I was little....I can close my eyes and still say some of the lines ! Unbelievable ! Thanks for sharing this !

Awesome! I got this for my birthday when I was a kid.
Wow! Haven’t heard this in over 20 years! Neat stuff!
this was my favorite
Thank you for posting this!
Damm now I understand that these words came from here
I love how they had the Phoenix be the son of Baron Helmut Zemo. It adds a lot to the story.
When Captain America throws his mighty shield
All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield
He’s left to the fight ‘til the die is due
And the red and the white and the blue come thru
When Captain America throws his mighty shieeeeeeld.
If he's led to a fight and a duel is due,
Then the red and the white and the blue'll come through...
i love his bird
Cool
6 minutes 6 minutes....
6 minutes slim shady you're on !

HOLEEEE...I never got the chance to get this vintage record comic, and now I know why...a white guy talking jive for the Falcon's voice...GROAN!!!!
"Falcon-- DUCK!"
Well, which bird is it Cap's talkin' about??!!
Falcon. Funny, tho 🤣
The samples in Rap God are at 6:13, 13:32, 1:37,
1:36 - Surprised nobody mentioned that Blockhead actually sampled this first in their song "You've Got Maelstrom", 9 years before Rap God.
"But I sure aim to out! But I sure aim to find out! But I sure aim to find out." I had a skip on the record at that spot.
Did you try stacking quarters?
“Prepare to die, you flunky!” 12:35. That had to hurt...🙄
Classic

Captain America issue #168
"hate-on for cap"??? (3:19)
Most people now-a-days
This is to blame for a 44 year Cap obsession.
O_O
40 years!? Caps my favorite, so I might guess that yours is too. I have respect for someone like you (someone who doesn’t hate on Cap)
To blame?!? That has negative connotation, so I say nay to your comment, poor misguided soul.
(Six Minutes...)
