Ive become so jaded with high end hardware over the years (5800x & 7900 XT right now) that ive forgotten what its like to come from a system like this one started as.
Its cool to see you flip a system for a decent price and give some newbie the "quality custom build" experience without them having to do it themselves.
I love doing it. I like new high end builds but it’s way more fun to transform something a little dated and turn it into something people would love to have
The antisag bracket for the GPU is OP LOL. I like it, great vid as always keep up the awesome work. The mechanism used to hold the m.2 drive in place is genius.
RIGHT! I was so happy to see that, I prefer the latch but I do so many builds with the tiny screw it was refreshing to see something different

13:36 - Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I hate using single fan GPUs in my builds if I don't have to. Why? It just doesn't look good, and it doesn't give the impression of being powerful. Especially for us PC flippers it's so important for the PCs we build to look good, and fast. A single fan GPU will give the impression of being slow (even if some of them aren't), and the whole inside of the case will just look.. lopsided and empty.
In a perfect world the buyer wouldn't care about what the GPU looks like as long as he or she knows that it performs well, but that's just not how human psychology works. The right image sells.
Oh for sure! Looks are so incredibly important in the pc flipping world. Hence the reason I case swapped the rig in this video, people don’t like spending big money on no aesthetics. It has to look powerful
@@ThePcRehab 100% true. I had a PC up for sale on FB Marketplace recently, a rig with solid midrange specs and a very fair price, but I used an older and quite dreary Phanteks case I got for free.
No dice. It just sat there for six weeks getting very few clicks and only received lowball offers. I finally got fed up and pulled it off Marketplace and rebuilt it in a nice looking Antec case. Boom! Sold in three days for 75 dollars more, which luckily meant the Antec case paid for itself, lol.
Am I the only one that was weirded out by the M.2 retention hardware?lol Also, basically instantly recognized the ROG 1060 from the discord. That's frustrating about the RAM. Had the same issue with my dell project PC, but you wouldn't expect it from ASUS.

Stunning aesthetic PC. Absolute bargin deal to start of with. With the ASUS PC having a 500W power supply, were you not tempted to just put a gtx 1060 6gb in the ASUS computer call it a day for that one. Then you could have started with the B550 motherboard and the stuning case on a higher spec-ed PC, eg. 5600X for the CPU and you could have put a much better GPU in with the 650W power supply, eg. GTX 1070/1080/2060 or even as high as a RX 6700XT.
I have plans for that b550 board coming real soon so I wanted to save it. Was way more fun to case swap the Asus prebuilt. And upgrade its look. Plus I have found in the past that prebuilts take so much longer to sell second hand then a custom built rig. Be on the lookout for the b550 build video, it’s going to be a fun one

Did you try one stick of the higher speed RAM? It could be one of the memory channels on the CPU is bad.
I tried about 15 different brands and speeds of ram. Both single and double slots. Nothing worked accept that green ram stick. I have never seen anything like it. And because it is proprietary, there is like no bios support
Eyyyy if isn't my favorite PC building channel! Fantastic content as always. I'm always blown away by what you're able to find on FB marketplace, and you do such a great job formatting these videos and you're always so chill and just really personable and relatable.
Also it may only be tangentially related, but your channel kind of rekindled my interest in computers and I'm going to be going back to college in January for my AAS in computer science. Hoping to get a bunch of certifications and the AAS degree so that I can finally get into a career in computers. Looking at probably IT or something. If I end up doing something like building computers, that would be cool, too. Mostly just interested in learning a lot of stuff and knowing better what I'm doing.
