    I would LOVE to see Phoenix and Tucson connected by lightrail! That would be epic!

      too far for LR.. High Speed Intercity.

      I think the connection would be better served by proper multiple unit trains, so multiple important stops could be served in each city. Plus, there's a ton of land in between the 2 cities that cannot be developed.

      these train only do 55MPH too slow, they should bring the old Amtrak trains from California and connect them between Phoenix and Tucson or the Caltrain old Trainset. they could have train stop in South Tucson, Sahuarita, and Nogalas.

    For the non metric. 28 miles of LRV, 3 miles of streetcar. (1.3 on battery and 1.7 on catenary) The Light rail has 5.5 mile and 1.5 mile extensions about to open. and 2 more planned. The streetcar is looking to expand another approx. 4 miles. 49 Kinkysharyo, 12 Siemens and 5 Brookville streetcars. 19 more Siemens on order.
