I love how you animated this whole thing. It definitely captures how they were together then and I guess he was reminiscing his adventures with his ex. On “the distance is futile, c’mon don’t be hasty, you’ll get that feeling deep inside your bones - I’ll be gone then when you must feel alone” just kinda hit hard as they are to part ways, as she probably doesn’t want to continue on with him on their “adventure” anymore. But that’s just how interpreted it as :p

@@RKE2006 yeah, I really like how it feels like a proper Thing -- sometimes animatics just feel like a bunch of art pieces thrown together in a row. I mean, maybe it's more like this is extremely underrated and there's some animatics/artists that I find to be overrated, with so many other artists of equal caliber getting less recognition, and I supposed I've missed the distinction between animation and animatic. But it's certainly good enough to deserve so much better than what it's gotten! (Sorry for the lots of words haha I always say too much to be as truthful as possible, but I really do mean that it is really terrific!)

Lmao you thought I wouldn't notice you traced the rio jesus statue. On a serious note, here's some actual constructive critisism. I like the animation, and I'm not saying it's bad, but theres a lot of room for improvement. Just remember, no matter how much I may criticize the animation, it's still a good animation. Let me start with the intro. At the start, with the second line, you can see it twirl around the pencil. If you also made the red line interact with its surroundings, it would feel more natural. If you're going to make a drawing last for multiple frames, put some time into it, and try not to rush it like you did with the hand holding the note. The walking animation and the fade ins are a bit clunky, and can probably be improved. Another thing, try not to loop just 2-4 frames for most of a scene, I know it's easy, but it doesn't look to good. On the flip side, I really like the torch fire scene, and the starting scene with the leaves at the start. Keep up the good work!
