still able to sell out an arena in 1995 in the middle of the Grunge era. Tell me this band wasn't one of the greatest rock bands of all time....even with Hagar.
In 1984 this won a video music award by MTV. Eddie Van Halen should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Now he's up there jaming with Prince. RIP to a musical icon.
In a second hight school in France( more precisely the city of Dijon), they substitute the bell by this song. It's the signal to begin the lessons Teenager love that! Greetings from France.
2:19 - 3:01 Did anybody notice that during Eddie's (RIP) legendary solo and afterward, there was a crazy drum fill by Alex at behind? This guy is a real beat machine...
He is always good but I feel like he really popped off on 1984. His beats and syncopation with the guitar is what makes a lot of the songs. Just try listening to panama without the drums and you’ll really notice.
Hands down the best live version of this song, can't believe it has this few views! Greetings from Madrid, Spain! 🤘 EDIT: Nevermind, found out there's a version of the same live performance with more views. Still deserves more views tho...
Saw em in Charlotte,N.C in 95. I was 24 and loving life.Muss these guys so very.much and all the excitement they gave to my life and millions of others. So badly.missef
We often say about Beethoven's symphonies that the tuttis just fill you up with raw vital energy. Well, this analog supersaw theme does exactly that to me
Even more impressive considering Hagar was sick during this performance! You can hear it a bit especially from the Dreams performance from this same show.
These guys were at their peak right around this time. It’s too bad they had so many internal issues with management and the label along with Eddies personal stuff going on. They were really firing on all cylinders as musicians and as a unit.
NO WAY IN HELL DUDE!!! Since MTV ain't promoting van Hagar I never hear them played on the radio it's always Van Halen with Roth Running With the Devil, Jamie is crying, Dance the Night Away The cradle will rock, You Really Got Me, Pretty Woman ,Panama, Jump Hot for Teacher, I'll wait, ice cream man to name a few hits Roth mostly wrote... honestly I never meet anyone likes van Hagar better if you grew up with the real Van Halen which is with David Lee Roth you don't want the water down sissy version with mop head Sammy.
I saw VH live in 95 when they were on tour with Bon Jovi... Jun 10 in Bale, Switzerland. VH played first, and man they nailed it. Bon Jovi came after, they stood no chance.
This is excellent, thanks, but if it's so great, then exactly which particular 1995 show is it from? Thanks to anyone who lets us know the exact date & venue.

Sammy's voice is more powerful . David is more "crazy" on stage but Sammy's vocals are more complete.Do you agree?
still able to sell out an arena in 1995 in the middle of the Grunge era. Tell me this band wasn't one of the greatest rock bands of all time....even with Hagar.
The sound of that snare drum is absolutely killer.
Alex always had a GREAT snare sound.
Sounds like he's banging a Heineken against a log in South Africa..
Best snare sound ever!!❤️

Tighter than a Nun's crack.
What a performance. Imagine doing all that jumping around and still having the breath to belt out those lines.

Just an FYI - Eddie and the band were inducted into the R&RHOF in 2007.
Don't forget Jimi Hendrix!
Eddie really loved life. He was always having a good time. The world misses him

Neck brace Alex was one of the best tours ever. They played so good then.

One of the most underrated drummers in rock.
Alex never really got his due. I always thought he was one of the best rock drummers of all time.

Might be due to the poor video quality.

An 80's anthem performed in the middle of the 90's ... cool
Probably a 70's anthem
@@jamespaz4333 it was released in ‘84
An iconic rock band that came through in the 80's when certain people just needed rock !
*Late 70's

At the 3:00 minute mark is where Sammy shows why he was a far superior vocalist. He had an emotion in his voice that Roth couldn't even dream of.
Even more impressive considering Hagar was sick during this performance! You can hear it a bit especially from the Dreams performance from this same show.
la mejor versión de JUMP en vivo. Si Señor
He's gone, but his soul is still here
THE BEST LIVE VERSION EVER.... AMAZING!!!!!
These guys were at their peak right around this time. It’s too bad they had so many internal issues with management and the label along with Eddies personal stuff going on. They were really firing on all cylinders as musicians and as a unit.
They fall apart many times with each other and go out of time. Lack of enthusiasm and sounds forced to me.
R.I.P. 🙏
Thanks Alex for your dedication

Alex drums like a god here! To bad he lost some of his touch :(
Years run for everyone
He didn't lose his touch. He just got older and picked his spots to blaze away a little more carefully.
