I just expertised mine to and she replaces Joan with Barca in my mixed troop/debuff army. Ideally she is primary with that support tree rage regeneration but stars are at a premium and I'll just run her as secondary and be happy with that combo.
As for mixed troops vs single troop type marches, I just run 1k each of two troop types and the rest the main troop type I want it to be, which makes it 99% of one troop type but still get mixed troop type damage bonuses.
i know that people do that 1k thing sounds interesting.
Here is one i made when she came out for more f2p players. Aethelfled Osman, Aethelfled lead. Everytime her skill pop, osman nuke + his 400 factor * 2 all applies within the duration of the debuff.
should i max her to lvl 60 ? please advice im free to play. her skills are maxed

And another tip for using Aeth. Have her fight along with anyone who has Richard or Baibars so she can deal more damage consistantly with her expertise
I like aethel very much - right now I pair her with barca second and full cavs
You get extra buff from mixed army. Not a good choice there
Baibars and Aethel sounds amazing bc of 3 seconds slow from Baibars and 2 (-1) from her... means 4 seconds in total where they get 20% more dmg
I'm curious now..... when I pair Aethel with Khan ( khan first ) must be awesome too isnt she? bc you doesnt say something about this pairing
Try to pair Genghis with Belisarius so u'll be able to pair Saladin with Ethel
Which Epic is a good pair with Pelagius for open field combat?
belisarius, Baibars should be the first 2 options after that you can do Boudica, Osman, Aetheflaed
Kusuki can cruss her, as her all skill will probably fail against his 1st skill.
Hey I used your talent tree for forts Attack for her. Can you tell me whom her secondary should be for forts? Troops should be Calvary?
Æthelflæd primary for F2P is good
As a F2P, u can get her to 6 stars, because there won’t be many Legendary commanders u can use as primary, since u really want most of the legendary commanders to be 5511 before proceeding to lvl them up
But as the Legend said, only 6 star her if YOU KNOW u wanna use her

There is misunderstand about "counter attack damage". It is not about tank or make her receive less damage. When in battle the enemy attack, so the we counter attack back. It is about the damage that deal during attack back right after the enemy attack. You also can check this on the report (writing) battle.
yeah and that counterattack is what she reduces so obviously less damage?

Im new to the game for about 2 weeks.. Im just curious if i can use joan + aethelhead (5-1-1-1) with joan as primary in near future?
Joan is a big target in open field combat. he mentioned hiding her behind another skill commander. theres another video @Rhony posted about pairing theories, very helpful to watch, it can improve your success rate greatly for combat

yes i use the same because pelagius has 100 rage restoration with his primary skill is enough

rhony,my man it is not the 2 sec duration ,it is that debuff which is freakin annoying, she totally makes enemies naked, others are like defense down, oh i have the health, but she just makes troops butt naked to take massive damage,it is just straight forward annoying ,mostly in group battles when there are lots of troops
I,ve seen a troop got debuff by aeth and hit by genghis active skill , its scary to see just how much damage it does

i do have a build for sunset and general pvp when i need to debuff a rally but is still general i don't have it uploaded anywhere yet

Hi Rhony, I think Aethel lead and sun tzu second better than leading with sun tzu for several reasons
1. rage restores from support tree are much faster than skill tree
2. there is no different in march speed between mix army and only infantry (both are slow), you can bring 80% infantry, Moreover, pure infantry is cutting +20% attack on her 3rd skill (I know normally pure type of troop is better, but left 20% bonus is not right for me)
3. cage of thorn (slow 5 target) in top of support tree are guarantee that her expertise skill is active when sun tzu hit all 5 armies, if lead with sun tzu you have to rely on 10% chance on her 2nd skill.
4. when lead with Aethel, her first skill make 30 debuff that make secondly commander hit harder, The total damage when sun tzu skill fire off is (enemy -30% hp -30%def) + sun tzu (+20% sun tzu 4th skill + 20% aethel 3rd skill) + 20% expertise skill for up to 5 armies!!!!!
By the way, love your video and really love that you change your thought on Aethel.
Another thing, the 2 second debuff is working on secondly commander. I already check with battle log. I test by leading aethel with Pelagius second (the primary skill of pela have direct 300 and addition 300 for 2 sec). the result show that the first attack of pela is much stronger than next 2 second
This is how it work
1st turn her skill fire off debuff show (do not have effect yet) with 2 turn left
2nd turn 30% debuff start with 1 turn left
3rd turn the secondly commander skill attack and 30% debuff has 0 turn left
well you should try it bro, i give tips and advice's based on my experience on the battlefield but testing is the best way to find out. I always got best results with specific commanders leading.

but look when you kill something and aethelfled does her skill the normal damage on that target is increased only 2 turn and i think that is the right one.(you see the white numbers going high twice)
@@LegendRhony Thank you for your reply, I did not mean that effect will last for 3 turn, i just say the effect will start 1 turn after her skill fire off, then continue for 2 turn. The last turn of her skill will effect to seconly commander skill. I already look it on balttle field and it can be seen clearly that 1 of 3 skill damage from pela is much higher than other (it should be the same since its all have 300 damage factor). I point out this because you say 2 sec debuff wont work on 2nd commander (sorry if im wrong). Please try it out with aethe lead and pelagius 2nd, I migh be wrong on this theory, but if im right, it might help you adapt your stratigy with other pairing or new commander in the future (which i will looking forward to see it).
Why not Aethlefled primary and Belisarius secondary? She have Support talents that helps with rage restoration. Belisarius have nothing for rage. Im talking about this part 17:52

yeah but is all about mobility on the battlefield
try with her first and see the results it might be a so and so result
however i would use her primary if i have a lot of infantry marches with me.

1. we save gold stars and leave her 5*.
2. we prefer mobility and cav stats on Belisarius over Support path of Athelfled.
3. we hide Athelfled behind Belisarius back so this march got less focused and lasts longer = more debuffs.

wanna ask u.....am building saladin talent what do u thing is better : emergency protection in bottom side in support tree or disarm in top left in cav tree ?
i would go with disarm
but for field battles you will benefit a lot more from emergency protection if you get swarmed
