Dude, you can absolutely have advantage on stealth anytime you want with with a short rest, just switch to an armour that doesn't impose disadvantage.
Yes you sacrifice some AC to do it, but if stealth is important, that can definitely be a good trade.
Heck you can carry around a set of leather armour just for that, it's cheap and doesn't weigh much. Or if you have the means, a Breastplate will still give you a good AC.

This is true. It also feels weird playing an Armorer without Full Plate ASAP. The option is there but it's a little strange character wise

I prefer making Serpent Scale Mail (since artificers can make uncommon items and this is an uncommon item that is 14AC+full dex and no disadvantage on stealth😊), you'll have very similar AC to +1 full plate.

@@woutvanostaden1299 Even better. Leather armour is still a cheap option if you just want the stealth.

The infiltrator armor model actually DOES give you advantage in stealth checks. The wording is a little misleading, but the sentence saying if the model imposes disadvantage that it cancels out does not mean that the benefit only works on armor of that type. For example, breastplate armor with the infiltrator model gives you advantage, but full plate armor is just a straight stealth roll.

Yes you are correct. Most people taking straight Armorer builds are probably going to take the heavy armor though so it'll cancel. But for a 3 level dip and a bunch of Rogue, permanent advantage in the model can get crazy.

That level three is so much better than what they gave the alchemist at level three. You can change modes on a short rest? Alchemist can't even pick the elixir they get unless they want to dump spell slots into it. What am i supposed to do with alter self for 10 minutes? A plus one natural attack that does 1d6 damage isn't useful to anyone in my party unless my homunculus is fighting in melee for some reason and even then it will die to anything more threatening than a mean look.

Totally agree. Alchemist isn't unusable but there is a sizable power gap

@@DapperSnapperGaming I'm mad at whoever complained about the alchemical humunculus they had in play testing and got that changed. They could have at least given them one experimental elixir per proficiency bonus base and or left the homunculus as an option. All the other subclasses have multiple options for their big level three gimmicks. At the very least they shouldn't have half assed the homunculus into an infusion and changed the might of the master thing it has so it is actually clear how you are supposed to change its stats. I don't know what they were thinking and l assume the changes were rushed. I could have had a nice support, pet subclasses.

I guess they wanted the Battle Smith to be unique? But I don't hate the current Homonculus Servent, but maybe they could have made an improved version just for Alchemists
