I enjoyed the video, don't get me wrong, but most of these with the exception of POE2 and BP sound like clones of each other. Dynamic open world. Fluid, skill-based combat for PvE or PvP. Medieval settings. Crafting and survival and building bases, with interesting little twists that upon a little thought really aren't that interesting. Everyone is trying to go bigger and better with the exact same formula as everyone else. Say what you will of the graphics, in the classic days we had UO, EQ, and AC, all distinctly different animals. Then WoW came along and everybody started chasing trends.
I agree, but it’s more of an industry issue. Most game developers today basically stick to the same formulas that have already been successful. It’s hard to find a new release that breaks away and innovates in gameplay.
Every one of these are complete shit. Most won't even make it to release. The MMO genre is dead, and has been for a very, very long time. They're just cash shops anymore.
You're wrong about at least 3 of these games and here's why: 1 - PoE2 will be awesome and the PoE that we have now proves it, as it is one of the few F2P game without P2W mechanics; 2 - Soulframe literally can't fail, because the devs made a lot of money with Warframe, so the only thing that they need to make Soulframe work is time, they already got the money to support it; 3 - Project LLL could fail but people will give it a chance because it's from the same genre as The Division and people really like looter-shooters. For the rest you're probably right and i wish i could save Ashfall because i love Remnant 2 but as they already said that the game will be for mobile to then to me this game is dead on arrival. :/
