It bothers me that there are TOO many people out there that have never heard or will ever hear of these songs because they were from a cartoon. Many of these songs could have been hit songs if they were recorded for sale. Would have topped the charts!

Rylosalex right reasons. The songs belong to the people who wrote them, some of whom are dead or probably unwilling. Plus there's not a big market for cartoon or anime soundtrack releases.
