Definitely after Thanksgiving because ours is in October in Canada. My mom always waited until December 1st to put the Christmas tree and everything else up but I just go for it whenever the inspiration strikes after November 11th. This year, it just happens to be November 22nd because of your motivational video! I've got my tabletop tree up and some other decorations out as well.
I decluttered everything except for my pencil tree my stockings Nativity and some lights for the windows it can all be put up in 1 hour the house is done and honestly my husband and family doesn't care about any more than that anyway. It's just enough to make the house cozy. Best decision I ever made ❤️
@@allioakley3372 That is so encouraging, Alli! I really appreciate you sharing. It’s motivating for me personally as I get ready to declutter Christmas decor. 😊
I have tree decorations for our tree which goes in our main living room, and then we have a Christmas tablecloth for the diningroom. I have a few nativity sets from different countries, so I dot those around the house in the other rooms. And I bring my amaryllis bulbs inside to flower. All my Christmas decor goes into two large shoeboxes now!
I really love the way you put such elegant and pretty touches to your bedroom. It’s good to see the « reality » of it and to know we can keep things under control with just a few dedicated minutes each day. I am in Canada where we celebrate Thanksgiving on October, so I am not as bound by the notion of starting too early. Here, as soon as Halloween is over…. bam, Christmas decor is everywhere in the shops! My youngest moved out this year, and not wanting to decorate all on my own, I decided to have a Christmas decorating party for my four little grand daughters, ages 4 1/2, 4, 2 1/2, and 7 months! Tomorrow they are coming and we will bake cookies and put up all the unbreakable ornaments. The tree is up and lit and ready for them. I’m so excited! Yes, I think early is better. We will get to enjoy it for longer this way.
I love this, Lisa!! 🤩 How I wish we could have Thanksgiving in October - that would remove so much stress. I’ll bet your party with your granddaughters was amazing - thanks for sharing. 😁
Do you decorate before Thanksgiving or after? 🌲
