Hi k m, i am planing on buying this car, but the g35x awd, has 257k km (170k miles) for 1900 CAD with free one year warranty, do you think it is a good deal? I am planning on offering dealer 2k CAD all in (tax and doc fees).
@@spandsbab Hard to tell without looking at the condition, but I know the engine is very good if it was maintained properly. Make sure it's not leaking oil and if you can, have a mechanic check it out
@@km-my4un What he said. Pay for an inspection at Infiniti or Nissan. Best 150.00 you'll spend and they'll do a full bumper to bumper inspecting documenting EVERYTHING you need to know/look for. They'll even print you a report you can take to the seller as leverage

Mina Azez What do you mean by that? Did you have an automatic or manual TL? I've lowered mine on Tein coilovers. RWD would probably get me into all sorts of trouble. The TL is more powerful.
Mina Azez The automatic TL puts down significantly less power than the manual. I looked up dyno sheets for the TL and the G35, and they're almost the same at around 230 whp. The G35 has maybe 25 more lb ft of torque because of its larger displacement, but according to Road and Track, the TL is quicker to 60 (5.6 vs the G35's 5.9 seconds) and within a tenth of a second in the quarter mile with identical trap speeds. The AWD G35x would definitely be slower than either. I felt that the G35's interior felt smaller. Did you feel that at all? Did you experience any difference in fuel consumption?
The all wheel drive system isn't problematic on these. The only thing you have to look out for is the front wheel bearings going out. That is the only issue the AWDs have over the RWDs. If the car drives well and smooth and checks out good after an inspection, then your good to go. These are very reliable vehicles and lots of people are running them with 250k+ on them.
@@Nino_J You would compare a 2008 TL interior to a 2008 G35/37 interior. Of course the 2005 G35 interior would look outdated compared to the 2008 TL, that was 1st generation.
You are spot on. Just picked up a used one of these with 103k on it and the front right tire made a whoosh noise. Well, the tires were semi-new Sumitomos in good condition and the dealer replaced the wheel bearing when we agreed to the final price of the car. So far the car has been very smooth only downside is fuel economy, oh well, I'll just get a Shell credit card :)
very nice, I like the red a lot better than the silver one I have, the red looks very sporty. One thing tho, Why did the 2nd gear pull seem so slow? Not on the gas all the way?

+Aina Tolulope make sure you get an infiniti mechanic to take a look at the car before you buy it. Their is a few known flaws on the suspension components. Other than that the engine is design to last....
I have 06 G35X premium with GPS. It's NOT good on gas, runs on premium only as well. BUT, it's AWD with almost 300BHP - so you don't buy a car like this to save money on gas :)

Is the engine supposed to be heard inside the car? For the one I was going to buy no lights were on but you could hear the engine from in the car? Is that or problem or is that normal?

Is that the rare type-s that they sold to keep up with this car? I saw that car recently, looked epic
