I submitted my disassociation letter on December 31st and so did a newly baptized brother that I know. He was just baptized in August last year and within 2 months they had him primed and on the fast track to be a ministerial servant. But, thankfully we both woke up. Praise Jah!
@@MindBodyStorm I sent it to all the folks in my congregation that I had email addresses for (included the elders & MS), and I mailed a copy of everything I said in the email to the Branch (it was 11 pages). I'm sure they didn't read it but I feel like I tried.
@@MindBodyStorm I actually called my attorney before I sent either because I wanted him to do an official document. But, he told me it was not necessary for him to send a letter or for me to do anything other than send it to the elders & Branch. Are you thinking something else is necessary or do you think I missed something? Very interested to hear. 😊
I was in a congregation of 200 publishers with 4 elders. They were totally overworked. I was appointed 2 months short of being 27 years old. One of the most common questions I was asked when appointed was how old are you? I knew it was an issue because I was young. After 4 years I was burned out and emotionally drained. I had sat in shepherding and judicial committees which were very painful. It was not an enjoyable experience.
Colin I’m right there with you. I served on six judicial committees simultaneously while being the service overseer, the school overseer, conducting a book study. I loved my brothers and sisters, but being an elder is not about love, it is about enforcement.
Bingo !!!!!! Can you believe that ? These guys insult their members intelligence Say an “older man” is not a “young man”. Out one side of their mouth and then turn around and appoint a “young man as a older man” Go figure Lol Jt
This is the reason why I walked away from the watchtower organization. The elders appointed my Bible student as a ministerial servant and skipped over me. I stopped attending in 2016.
JT and Lady C, this hits close to home for me. There's a lost generation or two (presently males between mid thirties to late fifties early sixties) who for one reason or another did not reach out or where discouraged by pettiness and favoritism when they did. A lot of them are saying "screw it, I am not giving them any free labor for a thankless job with a meaningless title in the grand scheme ". As someone who is in his early fifties and never appointed to be an elder even though more than qualified, I can understand the motivation to seek out younger recruits. They are easier to mold but it will backfire. You can't give inexperienced people power and expect good outcomes. In my case, I saw how my father who enjoyed great privileges from his youth (was made Congregation servant at 25, gave major talks at conventions, worked on major branch assignments, etc) neglected other important things in his life (marriage, family, finances, etc) only to be discarded when he was of no more utility to the org. Even though he was very well respected and liked, he died a somewhat broken man. I made up my mind not to fall into that trap. I was a good witness. High hour although never regular poineered, appointed MS at 21, never faced a judicial committee. I turned down appointment to be elder twice in two congregations because I saw what it did to my father. I had a wife and a young family and I wasn't interested, much to the bewilderment to those elders and my father when I told him. It's not worth it I said to my dad. Although disappointed, I think he deep down respected my decision. Now with the kids grown I've become PIMO so I am not going to be appointed (l keep reporting low hours) and seeking a way out, hopefully with my family.

@@ExJWCriticalThinker Thanks guys. You and Cathy are the best. Just keeping it real. On further thought, a recent appointment in our congregation explains this letter. It's important to note that I live within 1 hour of all of the Bethel facilities in New York and my congregation is stocked with bethelites that no doubt know about this new policy. I have met many people you talk about in your videos including who I think is your mentor 😉. An older brother (about 61) was appointed an elder. Nothing has changed about this man's circumstances that suddenly qualified him. In fact, when l first joined the congregation 15 years ago, I thought he was a elder based on his comments and bearing. Over time and talking to him I realized he didn't fit into some arbitrary criteria to be an elder. He can come off a bit too earnest and eager at times in his comments and talks which can be off-putting but that's the most I can think of. Interesting times.
Some 18 years ago, two brothers in their mid-thirtys confided in me as a PO (then)that they have resolved not to make themselves available for any 'privileges', and that was why deliberately turned in very low hourly monthly reports, and absented themselves willingly from some meetings and CO's visits. They both had poverty-stricken, very elderly, former pioneer parents under each one's care. Great thanks JT & Lady Cee.
Yes! Powerful reply indeed! I've seen too many times (over 60+ yrs association) young "whippersnapper" new to cong. Spend many hrs in the ministry, cozy up to the elders, reaching out for privileges, ride high & crash & burn...badly. If one out in service time, they're rewarded with privleges. ...'sister's' carrying mics!!??? Shocking! Hahaha!!
I think someone at bethel is pitching the idea to give sisters privileges. They’ll probably pick some verse about the female prophets and boom: new light
This letter is so encouraging to fading persons like myself. Since the start of covid I have had 2 dozen friends leave and none of these people were on the ‘fringe’ they were all elders, servants, pioneers, & ldc workers. I think the wheels are finally starting to fall off! Praise be 🙏
This is so encouraging to hear. Where I live I only know of 3 of us who have left. It is sad how many people stay. Glad to hear there are other places where people are waking up and leaving.
@@rosiej.1473 maybe this is what Splane was talking about areas with a lot of “apostate” activity. I know a couple in my area, but things can change quickly now the blinkers are starting to come off.
I agree with everything you two said. I'm faded 2 Years at this time. I'm in my 50's now. I'm going to sit back and watch the Train Wreck happen. 😅 Love you guy's, thank you both 🤟
Very powerful insight about the three different groups of men in the congregation. My husband is 48 now. We pioneered for 14 years. He was always just on the verge of being appointed but this or that ridiculous reason was given as an excuse to wait a little longer. Basically there was always some elder wanting to play games and throw his weight around and make him suffer. Just ridiculous politics. But it crushed my husband’s spirit - Made him feel like he was useless and unloved by Jehovah because he was always trying so hard and being rejected. It was one of the many things that helped us to wake up. So many men in their 30s 40s and 50s suffered because of being blackballed. This is an interesting new dynamic to throw into all of that.
This information IS profound, on so many levels. I’m 68, and I could not even imagine a 22 year (I have a 22 yr old GRANDDAUGHTER) old elder counseling me about life in general , or discussing sexual matters (I have sons approaching their 50’s!!!). This would take great humility and taking it up the a$$ as an aged one in that org. We can certainly see the domino affect taking place in the downfall in this awful organization. Thank you JT and Lady Cee for bringing this to us! I appreciate you both!
Yes this will have a profound effect on so many sad to say. Since you have children in this age group you know full, well they are NOT “older men” at that age This is such a sad commentary on the org so many of us gave decades of unquestioning loyalty to Thanks for your personal exp Jt and Lady Cee
I was on my way to being a ministerial servant a few years ago after regular pioneering but that never happened because I woke up. Now I'm basically just coasting so I don't lose my family. I haven't been in field service in like 4 months but I still turn on the meetings with my camera off while I watch movies so my family (who I don't live with) doesn't trip... Lol
I’m glad you read out what you put on the screen because a lot of times I’m listening to your podcasts while driving and don’t have the luxury of looking at the screen. No need to apologize for reading for what’s on screen. It’s helpful to people who can only listen.

Appointed as an elder at 24. Had just graduated MTS in 1991 and was assigned to a foreign language congregation in a major US city. Not gonna lie, no way I was mature enough to deal with the problems that I was asked to handle. That in addition to the lack of any real training.
Each time that I saw a young one appointed elder, I would think "poor baby". The fear was written all over their face. For the most part a lot of older friends thought the same. And that is why those baby elders were taken under the wings of the older one as their sons. Although they had that special consideration the majority of the times, I can imagine the intimidation of being sent into a foreign place that had problems. What a way to grow up fast when you have not grown up yourself.
@@ExJWCriticalThinker this foreign speaking congregation had a very conservative culture. One elder insisted, without any scriptural basis, that a 16 y/o witness who had sex with a similarly aged girl had to marry her since they took each other’s virginity. Only because that was his personal opinion on the matter and believed that was the honorable thing to do. As a junior member of the elder body, there was little I could do to counter the older men despite knowing that this was both unscriptural and ridiculous.
@David Taylor Was this foreign language Hindi by any chance? I knew a brother with your same name back in the day (in a major US city). He seemed miserable having so much responsibility and expectations constantly directed at him. If it’s you, I’m glad you got out. I hope you’re living a happy and full life now.
Great stuff. Those old time elders have to see how much the organization has changed in 20 years. They are now just like the religion they preached against back then.
I Think soon we will start givin the Catholic a run for there money in how many Babies gonna be Baptiste😁 I feel new light from brother Morris coming soon om the subject 😬.
During my disfellowshipping committee in 1999, I had to sit for over an hour listening to the three elders scolding me for not having accepted their many invitations to go up the ranks. Instead of discussing the matter I brought to them, all they were interested in was for me to explain why I didn't want to be a Ministerial Servant or Elder. Me not accepting any position in the congregation had more weight in their decision than anything else.
It’s interesting hearing the difference in how they deal with men vs women. I feel like they’re harsher on men. But I see some women saying they’re harsher on women. With women it gets weird and they start wanting juicy details when it’s a fornication situation where we’re pausing trying to understand why they need to know where you were touched, what position, etc. With men it seems they’re quick to DF and the conversations just seem so much more aggressive. Men seem to be seen as more of a threat.
Had a little young one in my time, he was 32 years old. Power got to his head and he was very boastful. Can you imagine what could happen when they appoint these youngsters?
@@charrua59 Point taken. Could even be 10 years old. After all, 7 year old children are learning to code. In the future, I foresee my 7 year old grandson shepherding my old experienced ass because he can build apps. I love to UNWitness!! My older brother has been an "elder" for years. He knows my stance and told other family members a couple years ago that I was "speaking against the organization and was an apostate". Now he's calling me by phone and wrote me a letter lamenting about the loss of family. I told him straight up on the first call I'd never be involved in this business of lies and deceit, mentioning the ARC over and over. I said "it's completely IMMORAL and you know it but you turn a blind eye!" I also told him "you can call it what you've been taught to, "apostacy" because you're just a puppet. But it's actually being a "heretic. Jesus was a heretic too!"

I said "you shouldn't even ask such an infantile question considering your experience, you should know! Jesus said 'you have only one teacher!' I pray to God but I TALK to Jesus." My other older brother and my younger one are now fully awake! It took a couple years but the Lord works in mysterious ways LOL!!
As far as the Organization trying to recruit the really young brothers for the eldership, they might as well try sticking jello to fog. I think it's too little to late and sad to even think that more young men would waste the better part of their lives. I am so thankful that my son and I faded a few years ago.Thank you so much JT and Lady Cee for this timely information that I am hearing for the first time.
I totally agree. Young people are smart and if they research this organization and listen to the people that believed the lies from the past and totally ruined their lives, the people that got kicked out for reasons that still don’t make any sense and others that are old now and broke. They will run away from this cult.
I asked my PIMO 17 year old son if any of the boys he knows are really gung ho about “the truth” and pioneering or trying to become MS’s and he’s like “no way dad, not even the elder’s sons”. Very telling…
@@johnmanzanita1397 my son who is now 27 was pioneering and running the sound for the meetings etc. They wouldn’t appoint him an ms. He finally gave up and is now out. My youngest son was completely ignored. These old men will regret how they treated this generation. Or they should!
If this is not a key element that leads to Watchtower's complete demise, I don't know what will be. I really feel that this could cause even more people to wake up. A 22 YEAR OLD ELDER?? I'm having perhaps one of the biggest What The Fornication moments right now!! LOL!! I finally left this org in July of 2020 after 25 years and it's the best decision I've ever made in my life! This cult seems to be getting crazier by the day! Great video, Lady Cee and JT!
The reason behind this is quite simple. The younger they appoint them the more willing they are to follow manmade rules without question. How completely contrary to scriptural direction, which of course is absolutely no surprise in this era.
Wow. I truly feel sorry for the older people who are stuck there and just don't want to leave because theres nowhere else to go. Older people don't wanna believe anything else. How depressing to loose faith and knowing you lived a lie
Generational conflict is very difficult to get rid off. It usually happens anytime between 30 to 35 years and the intergenerational reset.. However in addition to that you'll have the situation with the organization trying to survive the cultural shift that the information era has created on its peers. Is in addition to that the frustration that the approaching of Armageddon continues to be an approaching people's minds instead of just the urgency to continue on the good work of Jehovah.. And that end of itself creates a conflict between generations because every generation expected Armageddon to show up at its doorstep
Some of these "old people" joined late in life, have no spirituality to begin with and are there because they get too old to sin so they are not stuck. They need the gossip cliques.
I also wonder if this is another tactic to keep younger couples from leaving. The added responsibility keeps people from addressing their doubts, especially if they are too busy to stop and think.
Re: Appointments being based on WHO you know - that's what led me out of the organization for good! I was dating a ministerial servant whose father was an elder. In the course of our courtship I learned things about this man that were much (much!) less than stellar. Once it clicked that Holy Spirit had nothing to do with appointing leadership, the whole house of cards came collapsing for me. I had issues with a few things, and even went to one of the elders with genuine scriptural questions about some of the teachings and was met with extreme hostility and a "watch yourself sister!" attitude. The last meeting in 1999 that I went to, the spell had been completely broken, and I noticed how everyone was parroting the same lines, fake smiles, etc, like I was in the Stepford Congregation. I ran out and never looked back. Then I dug into the "apostate" literature and began my deprogramming journey. Spent a number of years living a hedonistic lifestyle, feeling life had no meaning, but in the past decade have been finding my way back to God. Thank you for your content.
Haha, "Stepford Congregation", I like that... Before we left, on 2012, there was this "Regular Pioneer Family" (dad, an elder) who answered the WT (or ANYthing) with: "WT, 15th of January. Page 20, paragraph 2, line 3 says," It was weird.
I'm a little annoyed by this. When I was in my mid-20s, my elders kept dangling the carrot of appointment as a ministerial servant. However, a week after each circuit overseer's visit, I kept being told how I hadn't qualified. Now, brothers in their 20s are being appointed as elders? If I were still in, I would be so angry at this "new light."

Hello!! My personal opinion is there is so much potential for young people! I don't think they are interested in congregation matters. Young people these days are critical thinkers, they are more aware of cult control. The best thing for them is to get an education and secure good job. Watchtower won't pay their bills for sure!
exactly it is a different generation because this generations is a lot more wiser. then technology and research of knowledge is now at your finger tips. If this goes into effect this will anger many older brothers who have waited a long time to finally become elders, along with some older brothers who kept getting turned down from becoming an elder.
JT always cracks me up with his “elder” tone and cadence! 🤣 I remember back in the 1990s, many young brothers were not reaching out. The ones still in their teens were being groomed by the older generation, while there were very few in their 20s. They were either never baptized, disfellowshiped, or MIA.

As a older sister I once (boldly) complained about the incompetence of an elder to a Circuit Overseer. His comment to me was "Well he's willing." Excellent video! Exactly what has been happening. The favoritism & nepotism works for those longing for some "power" over others. I know many who were like this. Some elders kids were the worst. Now they are power-wielding control freaks. Problem is - their children want nothing to do with it. They lure them back in with "you can be an elder". For some it works. Where I'm from, race also played an issue. I love these videos exposing the WT for what it is- a business ran by men under the guise of a religion serving God.
So interesting thing. I started listening to you guys as a fundamentalist Christian. I have since learned I was in a cult myself. But that thing with the older people being “worn out” was definitely my experience as a kids pastor. When I asked them to volunteer they will say things like “I did my time” like wow, is it a sentence? 😬 but I GET IT now
In 1995 I was a ministerial servant at 19, bethelite at 19, regular pioneer at 19 i was the only boy in 2 KH that did anything, I was the only 2 out of 10 in 2 KH that was baptized, disfellowshipped at 21. they have no youth programs, and they need to push people get married to keep them hostage. They are doing a 180 to try to keep youths, put the load on them.
This is so interesting. I was born and raised abroad as a JW. In my home country brothers as young as 18 would be appointed elders, tho most commonly early to mid-twenties. Sisters handled territory cards and reading at book study as needed.
Yes that has been the case in some areas for years due to simply not having anyone But when your LARGEST BRANCH in the world is struggling and it’s due to no interest by those males in the hall that is profound That is what we are seeing In some halls you have PLENTY MALES but no zeal or excitement Folks are tired Jt
And here in the US the average, rank and file JW had no clue sisters had these responsibilities in other countries. The org certainly never publicized it. Most brothers are tired. Burnt out. The sisters are too. Everyone is sick of this mess. It’s all about the strength and courage to quit. It depends on air and opportunity. That’s IT.
Loseing their mind. And that's what they get. They made a many lose their mind when we were in that CRAP. Watchtowers KARMA is built within.Nothing Good come out of something ROTTEN.Watchtower is Rotten,Stinky ROTTEN!!.
Yep that year cracks started to appear. Most Young jws i talked to hade no interest in spiritual goals. Ofcourse Watchtower sees elders and ms as company men. So i don't blame the kids.
Very well said 👏 I remember my one mentor saying as the years go by many of the brothers will not want to be serving and I definitely agreed. That was over 40 years ago. They make serving easy for some and difficult for others.iam not surprised at all that this is happening. If I ever went back I wouldn't be doing anything inside the congregation in a public way.
I would also argue that a leadership crisis exists at the governing body level. We can list a number of contributing factors such as, group think, poor creativity, inadequate public relations skills, etc . It still baffles me that a multi-billion org couldn't devise a successful strategy to deal with expose` in this tech information age. One of their sick responses was to publicly (at an annual convention) teach how to shun family members who conscientiously question certain matters. Big mistake! Akin to discarding a car, because of a problem we care not to fix. Some caring shepherds, they are (not). The leadership desperation merely echos down to the congregation level. Thanks for your insight.
Leslie that’s a really great observation… I want to know more about the teaching about shunning questioning, only thing I remember was Morris discouraging higher education at the broadcast
Another superb and entertaining analysis, JT and Lady Cee! Obviously, WT time is marked off by “tick tock, flip flop, tick tock, flip flop….” 🤡😵🤫🤥 I especially enjoy all those analogies and comparisons! “Look at the 21 year old young man just got married…he’s an older man getting married” LOL🤣!!! And the "tikes" as elders picture, OMG absolutely hilarious!!!🤣😂🤣 I knew a fellow who’d got into some marital issues when he was around 40ish. The “elders” wanted to meet with him and one of them was in his 20’s. The guy was like “no way, don’t need advice from a 20+ kid about my marriage!”
Great video guys as always. This month will be my 6 year anniversary of getting out of this organization. So glad I’m out. I never told older elder all my things, now with babies 👶 don’t think so 🤦🏻♂️
Happy new year to you guys !!! I think the GB is looking in the young ones the opportunity to manage them easily, creating in the young brotherhood the shining light for serving and have a " different level " in the congregation, setting up the path for others to reach a better status in front of the entire brotherhood. Great to see you again 😀 👍
Hi Mr T. Something that was not talked about . You could actually make a part two to this . There is a high number of brothers in the organization that used to serve as elders . That no longer serve and have no desire to serve again. In my congregation alone. There are 9 brothers who used to serve as elders. These brothers ate in good standing , Have no desire to serve and are layed back now. This is a growing problem. And getting bigger.
At last someone gets to the point ! admit “jehova” was only ever a company name, scrap the watchtower, get rid of the name Jehovah’s witnesses, admit that there’s no Armageddon and last days to worry about, destroy all watchtower publications, turn all remaining K halls into fast food franchises. Have I forgotten something? The 8 charlatans ! Rapture them off to heaven ! They find that their god has left heaven along with his son. Permanently. It’s become a Ghost town…
Great information. I studied with the JWs for many years off and on, but never did I feel the need to get Baptized. Haven't heard from you guys for a while and kinda miss Y'all videos,;as I love to watch and learn from them. Keep up the good work and God Bless.
Excellent perspective on the topic of elders, meaning elder and older men in the community/ congregations, because even in the bible scriptures say that the apostles of Jesus christ even turned to the elders older men on their advice on serious situations, Not meaning the younger men, meaning they older men in the community, and they are the apostles,
Things Fall Apart. I just don't envision a rebirth of the organization. Because especially within the past 30 years there seem to be a downard spiral which appears to be unstoppable.
Hi I am an ex-JW who lives in South korea, I always feel grateful for your channel, I want you to remember that a group of ex-jw korean people is listening to and supporting you
Isn’t it true that the male brain is not completely matured until 25? I believe that’s a proven scientific fact. In any case, in an organization where you are never good enough, I think some of these older elders will resist following this mandate. It’s like the 80-year-old farmer who still won’t hand the reigns of the farm over to his 50-year-old son because, in his eyes, he’s too young. My own husband, great with people, great Dad, beautiful human being, never “qualified “ for the pittance position of MS. Never good enough because he couldn’t keep that 10-hour field service average … close, but not quite. He finally said screw it, for many reasons, and focussed more on his business and our family. This organization is going to be left with nothing but narcissistic, corporate climbers in their “leadership” roles. Love the sports analogy of the third string! You two are fantastic. I wish you health, happiness and success in 2022.
You both are correct in the way JW appointed Elders. Young ones who came years after me to the Organisation were appointed after me bcos of my Children not making Progress in the Service for Jehova. I am happy and thanksfull that I left the Organisation as a ministerial/Elder after 37years with the whole of my Family.
Never was a JW but always had a heart burden for them and witness freedom in Christ to them (have a large collection of WT back to early 1900s too) anyhow I've hoped and prayed to see the total collapse of this organization... when will the GB cash out... take the money and run? When will we have another high level defection ala Ray Franz who does a tell-all? When does the decline of leadership and consolidation of halls reach critical mass and the great crowd get tired of being slaves? I have really felt the past several years that I could very well see it in my life! Love you guys. Great work as always. God bless :)
I'm so proud of my generation and younger who are turning away from organized religion as a whole and especially the JWs. I'm a millennial and my sister is Gen z. We left our congregation about 10 years ago and all the younger people that once were in our congregation and kept it alive, all left too. Now the congregation is old as dirt and on it's last legs.
Kind of similar with mine. Vast majority I grew up with never got baptized in the first place and our congregation was such a mess it turned a lot of people off. I was in one of those were every few months someone’s being reproved or DF, while groups with multiple names being read off in one night, etc.
I remember when I was a kid there was this young brother that had it all; pretty wife, 2 kids, tall with executive style hair. He rose quickly and everyone fawned over him. Well of course he crashed and burned, it was a sad story and I felt sorry for the wife (she was a good person). I was out of the religion going to school and was out one night in a local bar and what did I see, that young guy. It was so pathetic, he was playing the pinball machine. He was just a big kid that never grew up because he had everything done for him (i.e. the golden child). I'll never forget him standing there wasting his life playing pinball. I do feel sorry for the young people that get appointed because they will see the damaged lives most JW's lead.
GOLDEN CHILD!!! now that phrase sums up the type of men who will be appt only to fall on their face at the end of the day Great point Jeff thanks for sharing Jt
Its this orgs motto. Use them and spit them out. And it goes from publischer to GB members. No one hade the cojones to make changes needed. Religion is snare
Awesome job on the topic- lots of interest based on 400+ comments and all the likes. Something else consider is the great resignation that economists are talking about in the labor market , I dont know if there is spillover into religion with that. God bless you folks for your hard work!
This generation is so different. They aren't interested in organized religion. This generation isn't as "submissive" as the previous situation. Then another problem which was an issue with my husband. He wanted to reach out but the old heads didn't want to help him bc they were intimidated by him because of his skill (technology savvy, internet savvy). I agree with lady cee it's very disrespectful to a brother in his 30s or 40s who has been "reaching out" but a 20 year become a servant and then elder?! I know for myself I was 3rd generation but I look at my GMA she is faithful 89 years but I just don't see that for myself. So I left. Having a judicial meeting with a 20 year or 22 year isn't going to sit well. He is still wet behind the ears 🤣
I have to wonder to what degree the "older elders" are going to cooperate with this arrangement....i foresee a lot of Young Brothers with daggers in their backs... meteoric rise and ......fall...
When they say growing in relationship with Jehovah they mean growing in relationship with the watchtower. The watchtower makes themselves Jehovah. I just overheard a zoom meeting talking about young people not reaching out for "money" in which they mean higher education and reconsider their steps to serve "Jehovah". Their focusing on Proverbs 22:6 in order hold youths into the organization before they can begin to wake up.
Brother, you are dead on. Plus you are knowledgeable, a great speaker, and explain things very clearly. In the second year of the elder program I was appointed directly through the governing body. The circuit overseer wasn’t sure, but my qualifications included 100 hours pioneering, 150 special pioneering, Sunday talks in and out of town, etc. in reflection, I was a young punk kid who had absolutely no business counseling married couples, judging others for disfellowshipping, etc. I turned in my resignation when I was 26 years old. Thanks
If my old congregation were to be led by elders in their twenties, it will be a mess. Those old resentful sisters will give them a really hard time because that's what they did with older elders.
The answer to the question is simple. It's easier to manipulate a younger person because than are more naive then an older person because they are more wiser. That's it really go after the younger ones because we can fool them but the older ones they know what's up.
I remember a most depressing scene some years ago in Mississippi. I was delivering a car to a client. I had brought in the car from Florida. I googled the nearest Kingdom Hall because I had the habit of doing this when I arrived at a new town with a car to deliver. I wanted to meet new brothers. When I got to the googled location, it was no longer a Kingdom Hall but a funeral home. I asked the employees what became of the KH. They told me some years ago, it was shut down by senior leadership in the ORG. Reason being is that for years the only ones attending were elderly JWs who had no leadership, no actual meeting, NOTHING. These elderly few would just go the KH sit in the seats and do nothing. There were no young ones to conduct the meetings. How sad as I imagined those old JWs just sitting there. The employees told me it was sad to watch. TRUE STORY!!!
I've been out for a while and don't really have anything tying me to the JWs nowadays, but I just want to say that I appreciate your videos. Keep up the good work!
The Australia branch are opening up for JW to go back to KH possibly in March but only starting with regional areas as they have constantly said depends on what the Gov says. As it sits with churches they are not allowing the un vaxed to attend so will have to wait and see but most JW I know are fully and what classifies fully vaxed depends on ever changing rules as some States require boosters.
I never bought into the idea of the religion going completely online. From here on out I foresee a zoom/in person hybrid set up. Some prefer zoom while others are anxious to get back to the KH.
I don't know. Latest video from Watchtower. Saw kim mikey channel. Org was worried abouth the trials they hade with pilot program opening up some KHs. They detected rise of convid in does attending meetings. I think its just bull so they can continue With zoom. Regular chuches having meeting regulary for years. They don't complain abouth raising convid cases.
After serving for 10 years and seeing the corruption in the 2 Bodies of Elders I served along with I asked myself 1 question, "Where does it say in the Bible that Elders and Minestrial Servants are appointed by Holy Spirit?" I searched the Scriptures relentlessly until I realized Acts 6:1-6 especially verse 3 is where the so called "appointed by Holy Spirit" stems from. When I recognised that it is just a saying but not actually done by Holy Spirit well The Scales fell from my eyes so to speak and I went full throttle into testing every thing that was taught from Watchtower until I came across Jesus Christ our Lord not being The Mediator for all men to God. Well I immediately left when I saw that. My Faith and Salvation rests on our Lord Jesus Christ. The whole reason for being able to approach Jehovah God Almighty and receive mercy and Salvation is because of Jesus Christ our Lord. Ps And Yes JT and Lady you guys are spot on. The corruption of favouritism nepotism etc. Many younger men are saying nooooo way. And don't care to be Elders Ministerial Servants etc.
@@smalltownqueen5574 Lol. All Christians have received an anointing From God through Christ. We all have access to the Holy Spirit. Watchtower uses 2 Corintians 1:21 to say they are Anoited/Consecrated by God. However when we read from verse 12-22 we will see the true context of the letter to the Corintians. Paul explained his dealings with the Congregation of Corinth was always honest and straightforward never deceitful. Especially with regards to coming to the Congregation with his Companions. Read it carefully and use other Translations to confirm the context of what was written. 👍
I love your videos. I was raised a JW from 1965 on , growing up learning about 1975 as it progressed. I didn’t care about education or a career etc. Got married in 1974 at 19. 75 came and I was watching literally for giant fireballs coming out of heaven. Disappointed. In 1980 I was DF. In 1989 I was awakened by a death in the family that triggered my brain to look into the Bible about where you go when you die. This brought me to a relationship with Jesus I never knew existed. God the Eternal Son. Keep us updated with what the Borg is doing. Excellent videos and I enjoyed the one on 1975. When I hear that date I chuckle now. My brother has been an elder since his early 20’s , now in his 70’s a die hard and maintains 1975 is a correct date. A correct date for what? Whose on first? What’s on second and I don’t know’s on third! I’m happy to know the real Jesus.
I know more are waking up here in the U.K.. so pleased to be hearing of so many starting to get out and some I speak to are pimo. But in time they hopefully will get fully out soon.
I submitted my disassociation letter on December 31st and so did a newly baptized brother that I know. He was just baptized in August last year and within 2 months they had him primed and on the fast track to be a ministerial servant. But, thankfully we both woke up. Praise Jah!
Who did you give the letter to? Did you have to give it to a local body, or send it straight to Watchtower?

@@MindBodyStorm I actually called my attorney before I sent either because I wanted him to do an official document.
Well screw them forgot them
Lots of young elders I know brag each other how many judicial committees they handle. The more you handle the better you are. What a shame!

Can you believe that ?

Jt

Yep. See my comment on this video
Since you have children in this age group you know full, well they are NOT “older men” at that age

Wt cared nothing about these young men and what they would face sad to say

@@ExJWCriticalThinker this foreign speaking congregation had a very conservative culture. One elder insisted, without any scriptural basis, that a 16 y/o witness who had sex with a similarly aged girl had to marry her since they took each other’s virginity. Only because that was his personal opinion on the matter and believed that was the honorable thing to do. As a junior member of the elder body, there was little I could do to counter the older men despite knowing that this was both unscriptural and ridiculous.

Elders like the power and position in Good times. But know the bad times have arrive, they don't want to be elders anymore.
Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely. that is how I heard it.
You are on point

Yup!

Congratulations and welcome to your freedom
Haha, "Stepford Congregation", I like that...
Before we left, on 2012, there was this "Regular Pioneer Family" (dad, an elder) who answered the WT (or ANYthing) with: "WT, 15th of January. Page 20, paragraph 2, line 3 says,"
It was weird.

This is a different generation of young people. Times are changing but the organization isn’t adjusting their archaic way of doing things.

exactly it is a different generation because this generations is a lot more wiser. then technology and research of knowledge is now at your finger tips. You can fact check things in real time by sitting there listening to a sermon about the fall of Jerusalem and see the actual date is 587 BC and not 607! 😆
If this goes into effect this will anger many older brothers who have waited a long time to finally become elders, along with some older brothers who kept getting turned down from becoming an elder.

OHHHH YEAHH the thrill is surely LONG GONE.
JT always cracks me up with his “elder” tone and cadence! 🤣 I remember back in the 1990s, many young brothers were not reaching out. As a older sister I once (boldly) complained about the incompetence of an elder to a Circuit Overseer. His comment to me was "Well he's willing." To which I said " So if my 12 year old is willing to take my car and do an errand for me I should let him?"

Excellent video!
Love the tumbnail! Also reflects the overall maturity of most elders anyway
Thanks
So interesting thing. I started listening to you guys as a fundamentalist Christian. I have since learned I was in a cult myself. But that thing with the older people being “worn out” was definitely my experience as a kids pastor.
Yes that has been the case in some areas for years due to simply not having anyone
But when your LARGEST BRANCH in the world is struggling and it’s due to no interest by those males in the hall that is profound
That is what we are seeing

And here in the US the average, rank and file JW had no clue sisters had these responsibilities in other countries. The org certainly never publicized it. Most brothers are tired. Burnt out. The sisters are too. Everyone is sick of this mess. It’s all about the strength and courage to quit. It depends on air and opportunity. That’s IT.

I left in 1996'saw this coming back then, never wanted any leadership role, I wanted a peaceful existence not power.

I especially enjoy all those analogies and comparisons! “Look at the 21 year old young man just got married…he’s an older man getting married” LOL🤣!!! And the "tikes" as elders picture, OMG absolutely hilarious!!!🤣😂🤣
I knew a fellow who’d got into some marital issues when he was around 40ish. The “elders” wanted to meet with him and one of them was in his 20’s. The guy was like “no way, don’t need advice from a 20+ kid about my marriage!”

These brothers ate in good standing ,
Have no desire to serve and are layed back now. This is a growing problem. And getting bigger.
There only course of action is to rebrand admit the truth, apologize, and modernize.
I was wondering were you guys were. More and more people are waking up, I'm woke, and it feels so good! Keep doing what you do..😍

@13:20 i love JT’s elder impressions! hahaha
Excellent perspective on the topic of elders, meaning elder and older men in the community/ congregations, because even in the bible scriptures say that the apostles of Jesus christ even turned to the elders older men on their advice on serious situations,
Not meaning the younger men, meaning they older men in the community, and they are the apostles,
Thank you for these videos, JT and Lady Cee!
Things Fall Apart.
I just don't envision a rebirth of the organization.
Because especially within the past 30 years there seem to be a downard spiral which appears to be unstoppable.
Hi I am an ex-JW who lives in South korea, I always feel grateful for your channel,
I want you to remember that a group of ex-jw korean people is listening to and supporting you
Isn’t it true that the male brain is not completely matured until 25?
GOLDEN CHILD!!!
now that phrase sums up the type of men who will be appt only to fall on their face at the end of the day

According to watchtower, in 2021 was 89% up in grove ,,,
Holly spirit is blessing so much...
The answer to the question is simple. It's easier to manipulate a younger person because than are more naive then an older person because they are more wiser. That's it really go after the younger ones because we can fool them but the older ones they know what's up.
Bingo!
Thx
The Australia branch are opening up for JW to go back to KH possibly in March but only starting with regional areas as they have constantly said depends on what the Gov says. As it sits with churches they are not allowing the un vaxed to attend so will have to wait and see but most JW I know are fully and what classifies fully vaxed depends on ever changing rules as some States require boosters.
Thanks for the info

After serving for 10 years
and seeing the corruption in the 2 Bodies of Elders I served along with I asked myself 1 question,
"Where does it say in the Bible that Elders and Minestrial Servants are appointed by Holy Spirit?"
I searched the Scriptures relentlessly until I realized Acts 6:1-6 especially verse 3 is where the so called
"appointed by Holy Spirit"
stems from.
Ps
And Yes JT and Lady you guys are spot on. The corruption of favouritism nepotism etc. Many younger men are saying nooooo way. And don't care to be Elders Ministerial Servants etc.

Lol.
