My current partner had never seen my natural hair or even knew my hair was extensions. He came home from a work trip early to surprise me on the day I decided to do a moisturising treatment. The way I panicked, I'm sure he thought I was hiding a man in my closet. Long story short, I unveiled my hair. He says "women pay good money to attain hair like yours. What the fcuk are you hiding from?" I stopped using extensions. I can't believe how much better my hair has responded to its natural environment.

I’ve done two sets of micros on myself. Both lasted for 3 months each. I’m giving it a break and doing some passion twist. No one believed I did them myself because they were almost butt length. Absolutely loved them
@@Shellybombshell. nope! I did them extremely small on purpose. It allowed me to cleanse my scalp every week without frizz. I only used blue magic. I do not use edge controls or other products. So, I had no product build up. My hair still retained moisture. I wrapped my hair up every night. When I took them out they could have lasted longer. Everyone asked why I took them out. I was able to grow and maintain 6 inches of hair. Minimal shedding during take down because I take my time to finger detangle. I do have a lot of patience though. I’ve been natural since 2009 & became a natural haircare specialist in 2015. I do not recommend this for everyone. Only ppl who do not have scalp conditions and someone who is committed to properly maintaining their hair. Hope this helps!✨

@@Shellybombshell. nope! I did them extremely small on purpose. It allowed me to cleanse my scalp every week without frizz. I only used blue magic. I do not use edge controls or other products. So, I had no product build up. My hair still retained moisture. I wrapped my hair up every night.
When I took them out they could have lasted longer. Everyone asked why I took them out. I was able to grow and maintain 6 inches of hair. Minimal shedding during take down because I take my time to finger detangle. I do have a lot of patience though. I’ve been natural since 2009 & became a natural haircare specialist in 2015. I do not recommend this for everyone. Only ppl who do not have scalp conditions and someone who is committed to properly maintaining their hair. Hope this helps!✨

At least he was being honest. I found a lot of of men feel like this but act like they don't care but then you find out the hard way. I also think a lot of men are not going to get out of this patriarch mindset overnight. So sometimes it can be a red flag for control and sometimes it's just ignorance and at the end of the day he loves you for you. Women are trying to find a man who thinks differently not realizing it's bred in a lot of men to feel like this. Those braids are beautiful. Ain't nothing wrong with dressing or doing a hairstyle for your man, as long as you keep that balance by making sure he's your focus but you're, your main focus.
