Finally my boy! I really love D.O.'s personality. He's honest, humble and gentle, my ideal man. When the first time I listened to EXO music, his voice stood out for me. He's also good at acting, dancing, cook.. Kyungsoo is precious!!
D.O. doesn't beat around the bush, he is very straightforward but also known to be very polite and gentle. He doesn't do many crazy hairstyles as he is an actor. The buzz cut was for a movie role. China and Korea nowadays have improved their relationship a bit so Lay was able to be on EXO's special album DFTF (2021).
SM never talks about Lay's achievements... ever... And Kpop. fans also conveniently brush him off because he's not active fully. Especially Korean exo-ls, they do not support him one bit. If Lay was Korean, he would be one of the most successful Kpop idols in the Korean industry and would be someone like Taemin for sure. Even when he was very active in Exo, SM did not market his dancing, singing, or producing skills. People knew he danced well but didn't know he was one of the main dancers. Had Lay not gone back to China, we would have never seen him unleash his full potential. His popularity skyrocketed when he went solo. So even though my heart hurt so much seeing Exo not together for so many years, I am thankful that we got to see what Lay is Kpop of. And now i genuinely hope that the 8 members can unite again.
D.O. Is sometimes awkward in variety shows, that's why non-fans usually don't know his funny, lighthearted and kind side, in concerts and reality shows he feels more comfortable ig (? And you can see how caring he's with his members and staff, how funny and how intelligent he is... D.O is the reason I got into Kpop. I saw a compilation of him getting onto other members and I was a goner from then. I still haven’t met an idol like him yet, he has a unique personality. He doesn’t do things just to get more fans. He just enjoys what he likes to do. He hates doing aegyo and we know it so that’s why we try to get him to do it.😂 he had a bad experience with saesangs early on where they stalked him and even sold his underwear online. To clarify stuff too, accdg to Lay himself, he gave a proposal to SM so he can open up his own studio in China in April 8, 2015. He chooses his own team with SM's funding. I’m a newer fan, but from what I’ve seen of their older stuff D.O.‘s always been kind of quiet but he was really outgoing back then. EXO’s had a lot to deal with involving sasaengs(crazy fans), to the extent of them physically hitting the boys, stalking them, and even breaking into their rooms and selling their stuff online when they were in hotels. Every member of course was affected, but it got so bad for D.O. That he once ran at the sight of them. He’s still very fun to be around but more reserved now. Baekhyun’s expressed his hate for sasaengs many times as well.
