I got a chance to see this Aventador recently, a couple years after this video was made. (1) the Autoflex (pro-level high-gloss PlastiDip) gave it just a little more punch to the original blue, (2) it protected that original blue paint from scratches and rock dings for all this time, still looking great, and (3) when the owner wants to go back or try a new color, he just has to peel this off. You can do a lot of colors and effects you can't find in vinyl, too. Good job, Phillips of Prodipper NYC!
I'm just impressed that there doesn't appear to be any "texture" on the liquid wrap and there is surprisingly alot of gloss!...this looks alot better than a traditional wrap in my opinion! Good job!
Wrap lasts as long as a normal wrap, 4 to 5 years with regular cleaning. Removal process is like a wrap as well, although you don't need to heat the film to peel it like vinyl.
Alex Streetlocity I work for a company called cad construction and we produce the special powders for cosmetics, car paint, stained concrete and a lot more. You should check us out. Keep the good work going.
You guys did a great job on that Lambo...&, it does look better than before (with the original paint--although, truthfully, the original paint job was superb as well)...I'm quite certain that the owner of this exquisite automobile is very satisfied with your work! Aloha, Bill
THIS, Littlman3001 is NOT "plasti-dip"! If it WAS "plasti-dip" these guys would have to have paid some sort of copywriter fee to the actual plasti-dip guys. So it's "liquid-wrap". By calling it "liquid wrap" they can rip off the plastic-dip technology for free. But ya, you're right ...basically the same thing. Think "McDowels" -vs- "McDonalds" #Coming To America, Eddie Murphy
PlastiDip isn't copyrighted, it's Patented. And this also isn't PlastiDip, it's Autoflex. Fonzie from Dipyourcar also followed and supported this project when It was first installed (Since that's where the materials are purchased from). I chose to use the term "Liquid-Wrap" only because the term Autoflex isn't widely known.
@@jaxemin sure you can quite easily wrap or dip jambs I have done it many times..my car is yellow so I always black the jambs and sometimes color match depending on color I'm doing. You should try using your brain cells
Luc Levine its one lamborghinis exclusive colours that deserves to stay the same spec. Its obviously their choice, but they didnt help themselves by choosing to do it over the blue nethuns which is already a great colour, which is why theres some hate towards this. Should've done it on a plain black or white one
Looks pretty good! I see people posting some negative comments below about why would anyone do this? The wrap would actually protect the Lambo's paint from rock chips and so forth. If I had a Lambo, first thing I do is get a full clear wrap all over to protect my paint!
hahaha.....so painting without doing proper prep work and give it a reason to peel off. Gotta be kidding me what idiots pay for. Nothing will ever beat the true art behind a custom paint job. People are so lazy now a days that they llok for the easiest hype to make a buck. Shame!
Awesome what we can do now with PlastDip-like paint! Beautiful job! I remember several years ago when the PlastiDip was available only in very few colors and we needed to apply 12 coats to have a solid paint. Very cool 👍
Although I agree with most people on this, the original color is just absolutely amazing and incredible. Some owners "wrap" their car(s) as a way to protect the original paint from chipping and such. Of course, the vinyl wraps would work better for this and I have no idea how well this liquid wrap would do this but anyways...just my .02.
Finally, a temporary colour change that is gloss and doesn't have a huge amount of orange peel. Very nicely done. Love that colour too. I'm guessing this provides the same kind of protection to the paint underneath as a normal vinyl wrap or paint protection film.
Darren Thorndick if your cars are being sprayed and have orange peel you are definately taking them to the wrong place. Any painters that spray your car like that means they dont care and dont have a clue. Its quite easy to prevent. They painted it with a new type of plasti dip. Lasts a couple of years if looked after and is a nightmare to get off.
Matt Hardy. I was specifically talking about temporary colour changes such as plastidip and vinyl wrap. Vinyl wrap always has that horrible orange peel appearance to it and all the plastidip I've up until this video look nothing like real paint. I personally prefer a proper paint job but this video really impressed me.
lol Matt, obviously never touched a spray gun in your life. It doesn't matter how good the painter is, EVERY paint job will have some degree of orange peel straight off the gun. I can guarantee you every single paint job you have ever seen that looks perfectly flat/smooth has been flattened off and buffed.
Aashith Shetty I will eventually. It’s fairly new and not that common yet so it’s a bit more difficult to get footage of the end result. Next chance I get I’ll make a peeling video. Or you can check out this video: th-cam.com/video/CrgmTLHvxoo/w-d-xo.html
Compared to the cost of that car the liquid wrap is very affordable and it protects the paint. The beauty is you can peel off in anytime and the factory paint is preserved.
First liquid wrap concept was in Bruce Willis movie The Jackal it was for quick color changes with pressure washer removal. It's basically overpriced plastic dip
That colour is amazing, it stands out so much more than the original blue. Good job, guys!!

That was hot. Congrats to both you and ProDipper!! Keep moving forward
Chris Torres it's an old-school paint job ....liquid wraps ...lol
@@zzzxxzzz4797 it is a wrap sprayed on with a paint gun because it's autoflex which is removable
I'm just impressed that there doesn't appear to be any "texture" on the liquid wrap and there is surprisingly alot of gloss!...this looks alot better than a traditional wrap in my opinion! Good job!
That’s crazy. Although, I’d like to know how the wrap lasts and the removal process as well.
Wrap lasts as long as a normal wrap, 4 to 5 years with regular cleaning. Removal process is like a wrap as well, although you don't need to heat the film to peel it like vinyl.
That’s why I got my car done , protects the original paint from scratches dings , and you can always take it off ! Cheers ! 🍺
What's price range compared to vinyl wrap?
The supplies are roughly $600, and it cost $300 to spray.

Love the original blue, but that finished color is amazing.
Looks good. But I think the original paint looks better. 👍
Thats what i said lol...wasted my damn time lol.
wow that looks incredible. the finish is insane. Beautiful choice of color as well.
Before was much better
You guys did a great job on that Lambo...&, it does look better than before (with the original paint--although, truthfully, the original paint job was superb as well)...I'm quite certain that the owner of this exquisite automobile is very satisfied with your work! Aloha, Bill
So it’s basically very expensive plasti-dip?

*Step one:* Steal the product.
*Step two:* Mark up the price ten fold.

Liquid wrap is second name for expensive plasti-dip
lol, love that movie!
This is strangely relaxing...
At 4:57 the underside of the door is still the original blue color!! WTF! I want my money back....
So you can prove that the car is blue maybe? And since there is no qay you canscratch that spot

Beautiful colour choice, nice work guys.
Can it protect against a jealous key scratch??
Yes, unless the dude goes absolute ham and really really scratches it
I personally liked the original blue on the car better, but the way it came out is still incredible and super stunning
Stock blue looked way better n classy
That's the coolest color ever on a lamborghini!!
Sorry but you can't beat blue nethuns on an aventador
Arsene Wenger it’s not about the color, it’s about showing off the technology

Sorry but Arsenal can't win the PL this year either.
Arsene Wenger why are you comparing? Hes not even like that
you purists are ridiculous...even something that is entirely reversible gets your panties in a bunch. let me ask...what color is your lamborghini?
The blue was SICK!!
Wow. ...realy good job !!!! I love it. ..... congratulations

awsker13 this is poor people choice to protect original paint 😂
Wow! I’d like to see that done with some other paint colors.
It's plasti dip....
Thank you.
Auto flex is actually the evolved version of Plasti dip, it’s suppose to be longer lasting be able to be buffed and some other things.
I was about to same the same thing lmaooo it's call plasti dip
Bryan lozoya i have waxed and buffed a black plasti-dipped car plenty of times
ive never tried seems like it wouldnt end well, but idk
Looks amazing guys! I do love that color!
I like the original paint
Once u lose the original paint
It's hard to get it bk I like the 1st blue
Daadiri AZ'S Channels its plasti dip they can just peal it of
asgeir axel oh than that's great
Just peal it ...
Beautiful color just amazing. Especially whith black accents, perfect.
Totally ruined a very rare colored Aventador.....
M Tung its removable...
M Tung the colour is still underneath. ....
Still a waste
paul davison its not yours so stfu
hes mad cuz he cant afford one lol

Why can't people like this live near me so I can change my car color
There's places all over that will do wraps and plasti-dip, autoflex is a little more on the new side though I think.
you can do this in your driveway lol.
Amazing job indeed! When you mixed that pink glitter I was like "oh nooo!" hahaha, but the end result is very cool.
Overhyped......The Lambo looks better without all these....
Shiladitya Ray mmmmmmyeah nope that wrap was probably the most beautiful thing i've ever seen
Chanie M. 👌
Shiladitya Ray “all these” they did one thing
HÈŁłŠïñG •_ Hello English teacher...."all these" refers to the number of procedures they did......
Shiladitya Ray failed attempt at being funny how does what I say make me an English teacher
Not the colors I'd pick personally, but it looks really well done. Awesome job guys :)
You should have De badged it nasty
IM OBSESSED WITH THIS COLOR
Still missed the bottom of the doors...
I think they left em on purpose. They are hard to do and wouldn't look that much different. Plus you never see it
Looked great in blue
Eye protection?!?

So, if this car is the shit, it kinda makes a new meaning of the phrase 'dip shit' lol
Phil Laird I looove Harley Quinn
It is a wrap. They paint it on. But can peel off like a wrap. It does not damage the color underneath
It's the first because no Lambo owner in their right mind would cover it in some expensive, over-hyped plasti-dip.
James Dover
It's actually a protector too. Small rocks and all that isn't going to ruin the original paint.
So you speak for all Lambo owners? Like stfu
James Dover have you seen the people who owns lambos. Don't surprise me.
If you can afford a lambo. You can afford to get paint touch up from road grime.
boosted ham I'd rather not have my expensive car repainted every time I go for a drive...
Uuuuuuuuuu ein blaues Auto. Sehr spannend und so innovativ.
How much does this cost
Aman A im assuming around 3000 for a car like this.4000 tops.
doesit go100 thanks
not gonna lie I want to know the price to lol im just guessing

8700s14 thats bullshit.
Matt Hardy I've been to JD Classics and even at their very high level of workmanship they wet sand and polish a car to get rid of the orange peel.
Am I the only person not seeing any difference??
original blue to a multicolor look with flake in it. Yeah youre the only one that isnt seeing the difference
I agree it really doesn’t look much different.
I think its just a bit more purple
that means you failed the test and you are color blind...sorry
Holy crap. This looks freaking cool!!
Wow thats impressive!
Fur Gulley it is an old school paint job ..... liquid wraps ...lol
Wow...amazing!!! Love the color

fucken idiot , he didn't sand anything so how would you confuse it with regular paint
I have to say I am very impressed. How much more is the liquid wrap than the regular wrap jobs?
That's not a wrap that's a Paint job
Mohamed Yassir It peels off like a wrap, therefore it's a wrap
