Vikings and Lions, two teams that historically choke. In all honesty, I just want to see one of these two teams win it all or even just get to the big game, so may the best team win.

A lot of what the NFL does (officiating comes to mind) frustrates me, but the league scheduling the Vikings-Lions matchup to close out the season is terrific! It wouldn't surprise me for this to be one of the most watched regular season games of all time.
That always seems to be a problem with the Vikings. It seems when they are up and ahead by a decent score, they let go of the gas instead of pushing forward when there is still plenty of time on the clock. And that allows other teams to come back and sometimes keep the game alive for the other team.
The fact that the Vikings let the Packers hang around and almost win the game speaks volumes about their lack of ability to put opponents away at clutch time.
It would be a bit of a surprise to see a team rest players in Week 17, but this is a fair point: Detroit has nothing to lose or gain tomorrow against the Niners. Situation to watch...

Personally I think it’s great when fans of the second tier NFL franchises show as much support as they do. People need to understand that these teams (Buffalo, Minnesota, the Lions, etc.) are the backbone of the league. Working together they all do a fantastic job maintaining regional fan interest late into the regular season, while at same time they’re all available to facilitate preparation for the Championship level organizations (Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles) into the playoffs. I couldn’t do it. But my gratitude and admiration certainly goes out to football fans of that level.
