I love building kits. But I can’t find any that are cheaper than a pre-built.

this rc isn't bad, actually quite good, but not the best performer due to short, narrow and tall construction, also this generic body looks cheap

The RTR radio has Exponential?! This is a game changer for RTR equipment.. I'm not aware of any other RTR having that. Awesome.
Yup! My mind was blown toggling through the screens and seeing both EPA and EXP options.
This is the Turbo Racing P52 radio, available for years. Should bind with your 1/6 Willys Jeep, FMS Atlas 6x6, RocHobby Katana, Hobby Plus CR-18 (not CR-18p!), CR-24, RGT 1/24, and many more ( those are sold under many different names).
feel like this is a great buy. add servos and get a brushless combo, slap on some wheels/tires and it's going to be awesome. already great to look at glad you reviewed the gray one.
I like the Interco super swampers . It seems like aftermarket tires are super soft and sticky, and the ones you get on a new one wear really fast.

You would be happy with the Traxxas TRX also...The Phoenix is cool tho also...either way you will be ready to go!!!!
I hope they hay the same good price in Europe..In your meaning,is vanquish better than an element or gmade new rtr and if so why?But a very interesting truck and also great video 👍👍
Why does nobody ever say the cost of any kits? Excellent reviews from all the TH-cam channels but nobody ever says the price. That's the most important part of any rc really.
Unfortunately we typically don’t get the prices ahead of time. Manufacturers sometimes change the price at the last second. I always have it in the video description as soon as I find out what it is.
What a freaking good deal and the timing couldn't be better with Axial releasing the scx10 pro I really feel this was a phenomenally smart drop

The HobbyWing 555 brushed motor is perfect upgrade for this Phoenix crawler. Fits perfectly no problems. No cutting, No grinding required.

So how is this the best RTR trail crawler just like how Amain hobbies adores it?
For a guy like me who's only had TRX-4 Defender and Gen 8 Axe as trail crawler RCs I don't how it would be like to have this Vanquish. I'm not an RC snob but I appreciate very high quality products.
All I know is that the TRX-4 is the best crawler I've owned, I've never owned Axial SCX10s, Vanquish or other brands aside from Redcat so I'm naive...so people enlighten me I'm open to what you will say about Vanquish. Thanks.
Getting the RTR this week. I have a couple servos I can spare to make it fully functional. Also have a fusion pro 2300 for it. I absolutely cannot wait.
Great review, my steering was limited out of the box also change the EPA and it's awesome, had one leaking shock out of the box, now that I ran on the trail for about an hour I have another leaking shock, contacted Vanquish hopefully they take care of it....we'll see!!!
With 2 cheap servos and a can of plastidip, you can have a waterproof 4 channel, FWD, RWD, 4WD truck with a selectable overdrive. I had an opperational VFD Twin my Kit version for 40 dollars total.
On the tires... I just put my wheels and Falken tires together and I have the same bulge. Bead was set correctly as well... Greg, sent Insta DM...
I remember driving to a RC Madness when I lived in NY .I think it was in Massachusetts or Connecticut ? This was back in the 90's Is it possible its the same place ? I just ordered the Phoenix, cant wait for it to show up

Was looking for the 1st crawler for my kid...was going to buy the new unlicensed RTR Chevy Blazer from CrossRC but this looks so awesome in still and in action...the CrossRC is currently almost 100 bucks cheaper though...

an RTR ? 🤨~if they weren't gonna do the hw g2 and a decent brushed motor OR a brushless spektrum system thats cool. EVERYONE here knows those electronics are garbage IMO. not a Rtr
99% of rtr electronics are garbage. They just get you going.
At least this seems to come with a pretty decent radio.

The car really drives very well indeed - impressive for an RTR. But there is not much ‘scale’ to it - especially the way it comes.
“Scale truck” has evolved into a general classification over time to describe trucks of this type. If I call it a crawler, other people will take issue with that. Whatever it is, it’s fun. 😆

Yep" you touched on it the tire bulge, it's one of the first things I noticed otherwise phenomenal truck and Great review Greg!! I didn't catch if you mentioned if the radio has end point adjustments or not? That's kind of important when adding additional shift servos etc? Thanks great video

Best RTR crawler on the market, no contest. I own 3 VS4-10 based trucks; a Phoenix portal, one I built from the slider kit, and a VS4-10 Pro. They're amazing trucks, and absolutely worth the price.

The cab design based off an FJ45.
@@rcdriver maybe a few features of the original are used but ....nope, they did not make a shorty cab like that, the dimensions of the cab/front end are no way near scale. This in NO WAY can be considered scale.
