I like what Ive seen from Vanquish from my first intro about three years ago. They always look great and drivers are happy. Great to see this one in my feed tonight. Thank you.
feel like this is a great buy. add servos and get a brushless combo, slap on some wheels/tires and it's going to be awesome. already great to look at glad you reviewed the gray one.
Great review, my steering was limited out of the box also change the EPA and it's awesome, had one leaking shock out of the box, now that I ran on the trail for about an hour I have another leaking shock, contacted Vanquish hopefully they take care of it....we'll see!!!
Getting the RTR this week. I have a couple servos I can spare to make it fully functional. Also have a fusion pro 2300 for it. I absolutely cannot wait.
This is the Turbo Racing P52 radio, available for years. Should bind with your 1/6 Willys Jeep, FMS Atlas 6x6, RocHobby Katana, Hobby Plus CR-18 (not CR-18p!), CR-24, RGT 1/24, and many more ( those are sold under many different names).
Best RTR crawler on the market, no contest. I own 3 VS4-10 based trucks; a Phoenix portal, one I built from the slider kit, and a VS4-10 Pro. They're amazing trucks, and absolutely worth the price.
I hope they hay the same good price in Europe..In your meaning,is vanquish better than an element or gmade new rtr and if so why?But a very interesting truck and also great video 👍👍
Yep" you touched on it the tire bulge, it's one of the first things I noticed otherwise phenomenal truck and Great review Greg!! I didn't catch if you mentioned if the radio has end point adjustments or not? That's kind of important when adding additional shift servos etc? Thanks great video
I remember driving to a RC Madness when I lived in NY .I think it was in Massachusetts or Connecticut ? This was back in the 90's Is it possible its the same place ? I just ordered the Phoenix, cant wait for it to show up
...hey there, bought this great truck...wanna upgrade the tyres because of the folding while under pressure...could you recommend any bedlock tyre/wheel combos? ...maybe Proline??? I'm looking for a similar width...and save some cash as well... Any suggestions or thoughts are much appreciated, 👍🙏
What a great looking, smooth running RTR truck from Vanquish...ahhh... Was looking for the 1st crawler for my kid...was going to buy the new unlicensed RTR Chevy Blazer from CrossRC but this looks so awesome in still and in action...the CrossRC is currently almost 100 bucks cheaper though... ...which one to buy... btw...thx for showcasing 🙏👍😁
With 2 cheap servos and a can of plastidip, you can have a waterproof 4 channel, FWD, RWD, 4WD truck with a selectable overdrive. I had an opperational VFD Twin my Kit version for 40 dollars total.
Why does nobody ever say the cost of any kits? Excellent reviews from all the TH-cam channels but nobody ever says the price. That's the most important part of any rc really.
Unfortunately we typically don’t get the prices ahead of time. Manufacturers sometimes change the price at the last second. I always have it in the video description as soon as I find out what it is.
“Scale truck” has evolved into a general classification over time to describe trucks of this type. If I call it a crawler, other people will take issue with that. Whatever it is, it’s fun. 😆
- ALL MOST $500, AND ONLY A **"200 ounce Servo !!!!?? WTF"** ... PLUS SOME "DINKY" UNDERSIZED, ("COST-SAVING") TIRES... **'NOT !!!! "** ... 🤭🤣😂👏👏👏... WHAT A JOKE !!!!
@@rcdriver maybe a few features of the original are used but ....nope, they did not make a shorty cab like that, the dimensions of the cab/front end are no way near scale. This in NO WAY can be considered scale.
an RTR ? 🤨~if they weren't gonna do the hw g2 and a decent brushed motor OR a brushless spektrum system thats cool. EVERYONE here knows those electronics are garbage IMO. not a Rtr
Such a great way for everyone who doesn’t like building kits to experience these! 😃👍🏼👍🏼
... Who doesn't like building a "KIT", isn't that the point of this hobby, amongst other valid points !!??? 🤔... Aye yiy yiy.😏
Building kits is part of the RC hobby tho...
I love building kits. But I can’t find any that are cheaper than a pre-built.
Edit: I’m also newly returning to the hobby.
This is great, high quality and good value. Well done Vanquish!
Agreed my friend! 😎
I like what Ive seen from Vanquish from my first intro about three years ago. They always look great and drivers are happy. Great to see this one in my feed tonight. Thank you.
The HobbyWing 555 brushed motor is perfect upgrade for this Phoenix crawler. Fits perfectly no problems. No cutting, No grinding required.
The RTR radio has Exponential?! This is a game changer for RTR equipment.. I'm not aware of any other RTR having that. Awesome.
Yup! My mind was blown toggling through the screens and seeing both EPA and EXP options.
feel like this is a great buy. add servos and get a brushless combo, slap on some wheels/tires and it's going to be awesome. already great to look at glad you reviewed the gray one.
I like the Interco super swampers . It seems like aftermarket tires are super soft and sticky, and the ones you get on a new one wear really fast.
Make a video of how to install servos for using optional features of the gearbox
Great review and the VS4-10 RTR looks so dialed right out of the box.
Thanks! It’s a pretty sweet setup!
What a freaking good deal and the timing couldn't be better with Axial releasing the scx10 pro I really feel this was a phenomenally smart drop
Just love the quality of Vanquish Trucks!
Same here!
All I can say is wow. Looks good and stable
Great review, my steering was limited out of the box also change the EPA and it's awesome, had one leaking shock out of the box, now that I ran on the trail for about an hour I have another leaking shock, contacted Vanquish hopefully they take care of it....we'll see!!!
Good looking rig. Handles those rocks with ease. Love to see it.
Awesome review, this will definitely be my next crawler purchase.
Getting the RTR this week. I have a couple servos I can spare to make it fully functional. Also have a fusion pro 2300 for it. I absolutely cannot wait.
I'm so glad to see this and I was just about to drop $550 on a Traxxas trx4 . I'm sold on this model 😁
You would be happy with the Traxxas TRX also...The Phoenix is cool tho also...either way you will be ready to go!!!!
TRX-4 = $500
VS4-10 Phoenix rtr = $480
This is very impressive!!!
Expensive? My last crawler build was $1200. 🤣
trx-4 is much better quality too🎉
Such an awesome rig! I'd love to get my hands on one of those! Great video and perfect crawling terrain, as always!

Like button engaged. Good review Greg.
Drill beats was a nice touch

Kits > RTR.
Was so close to buying a knightrunner or scx10iii ended up getting this🔥
Definitely get two
I like my capra 4ws, capable and fun, but I might have to grab one of these and see what I think
That looks like a helluva good RTR Rig, also looks like I am going to have to get myself a new Trail Rig 🤣
Awesome area to test rc's. Looks like a nice option for a non-portal rig
It is. When the river is lower, there even more cool terrain to drive on.
pretty cool dude, keep up the great work.

Yes, EPA function is for all four channels.
@@rcdriver 👍🏼💯
Ordered one already. Got the Gray one. You know there going to sell out quickly.
Excellent color choice. Enjoy!

Wow I think I'm gonna need to pick one up. I want a portal RTR ngl

The rolex of crawler!
Do you recommend strait axle or portals for first crawler?
Can you put the rear in neutral so that it can be front wheel drive?
What a great looking, smooth running RTR truck from Vanquish...ahhh...

hope they do a portal rtr 😎
We’ll see 😄
Great looking rig Greg! Do you think they'd ever have a portal conversion for it? The clearance would be crazy. Thanks for the review.
I didn’t get any inside info if there would be. But it would make sense for them to offer it.
I believe the newest rtr from vanquish the falcon edition rtr w painted teal/blue color truck w rear cab & cage comes w portal interior goes for $579
Now that the VRD Stance RTR is out, which would you recommend?
What’s the Vanquish truck that’s in the background of the video?
Where can you buy the interior I looked on there site & didn’t see it.
Any idea what receiver will be compatible or will Vanquish sell them for other rigs?
Would a hoddywing quick run fusion 2in1 fit in the Phoenix?
The transmission doesn't seem very big. Thanks
The pro will with just a bit of filing. The OG ones are too long though.
With 2 cheap servos and a can of plastidip, you can have a waterproof 4 channel, FWD, RWD, 4WD truck with a selectable overdrive. I had an opperational VFD Twin my Kit version for 40 dollars total.
Now maybe I'll finally get off my ass and build my portal kit... still can't decide on a color though.
Mind blown 🤯
Awesome to see vanquish react to the market so sweet 👍
On the tires... I just put my wheels and Falken tires together and I have the same bulge. Bead was set correctly as well... Greg, sent Insta DM...

Guess its time for me to buy a Vanquish Phoenix to test out
Is this rig water proof?
If your not a builder but have been wanting a Vanquish, You can't go wrong with what may be the best RTR on the Market in 2023 !
That’s a pretty darn good value! Too bad I already have 2 Phoenix kits already.
They did it right.
Awesome
I really want to get to the point where i get sent rc cars
Maybe christmas holiday purchase?🤔Hmmmm.
Wow...
The car really drives very well indeed - impressive for an RTR. But there is not much ‘scale’ to it - especially the way it comes.
“Scale truck” has evolved into a general classification over time to describe trucks of this type. If I call it a crawler, other people will take issue with that. Whatever it is, it’s fun. 😆
@@rcdriver you can’t please us all 😁
this rc isn't bad, actually quite good, but not the best performer due to short, narrow and tall construction, also this generic body looks cheap
- How about less windows & MORE TIRE.
... 🤔 Hmmm... 😉👌👍 Nah, then it would COST $550-$600..... 🙄😏
nice , but that gearbox and no name body ...but still nice cheap rc truck
- Has more windows than a Volkswagen Bus !!!! 😆 ... But, "WHY" !!????? 😏... 👎
'
nah nah...
not like this R/C truck keep
- ALL MOST $500, AND ONLY A
**"200 ounce Servo !!!!?? WTF"**
... PLUS SOME "DINKY" UNDERSIZED, ("COST-SAVING") TIRES... **'NOT !!!! "**
... 🤭🤣😂👏👏👏... WHAT A JOKE !!!!
How can you call that "scale" when there is NO real vehicle that it copies?
The cab design based off an FJ45.
@@rcdriver maybe a few features of the original are used but ....nope, they did not make a shorty cab like that, the dimensions of the cab/front end are no way near scale. This in NO WAY can be considered scale.
NO way. IMPOSSIBLE. UNBELIEVABLE.
@@jamesm7406 yeh man, believe it or not....the word "scale" actually means something....just like the words boy and girl.

99% of rtr electronics are garbage. They just get you going.
At least this seems to come with a pretty decent radio.
@@jasonbecker4997 I agree, but he said in the video they were GREAT electronics. I just don't new people to think thats what great electronics are.
