Bruh, I'm Chinese but English is my first language, growing up talking English and Cantonese. I failed at Chinese in my school.
I can speak basic Chinese, but I can't write or understand the words and chinese can have many different pronunciations for a word so I can't read them from a source directly.

Yes, Chinese is very difficult, I’m Chinese and like there is four different tones for mostly every word. Like if you don’t say the correct tone of what you’re trying to say, nobody will understand you, like come on, out of all languages why this one?!

그건 아니죠. 어디까지나 한국어 화자가 느끼는 발음 안에서고 실제 그 언어의 음운을 정확히 변별해 표기하는 건 항상 가능하지는 않죠.
김명원 세종대왕이최초로 만드셨던 한글에선 모든단어발음표기가가능했다고하죠..
오히려지금글자로바뀌면서 못하는발음이늘음..안타깝..예전꺼보면 오히려영어같은것도 더정확히발음하기쉽게 되있더라구요 ..
사라진 글자들이 많죠. ㅌ+한자키로 누르면 나오는 글자들이 사라진 한글이예요. 발음들은 지금 쓰이는 글자들의 발음들과 유사하지만 약간씩 다른 발음으로 그것들을 다 사용하면 표현 못할 외국어들은 없을걸요?

I used to learn chinese for 1 and half year, it sounds less complicated once you learn it but the writing system and tones are sooooo hard. I learned using pinyin, if you used a wrong tone, you might accidentally cursed at your teacher lol.
yeah... Its very true like if you feel like cursing someone you can just curse the person and just say 'Oh sorry wrong pronounciation' lol. I did that waaayyyy too many times

Me too :3 Let me tell you that tones pronunciation is the hardest thing for me u.u . My native language is spanish (South America). But I think that everyone can learn chinese is only perseverance. Greetings!
If you speak Spanish or English as your Native language, you'll have a harder time learning any Asian language because of the langauge gap.

제 觀點에서는 韓國語도 漢字에서 自由롭지 못하죠.
Seho 해석 : 제 관점에서는 한국어도 한자에서 자유롭지 못하죠.
실제 중국이 문맹률을 낮추는 방법으로 한글 도입을 고려하기도 했대요. 실제로 가능성 높게 검토했지만 결론은 간체자를 쓰는 걸로 내렸다죠.

재미로 찍은 영상이니까 그렇구나 할 수 있긴 한데 브아이 발음이 약간 권설음이 약해서인지 남방 사람들에 가까운 느낌이에요... chaoji도 대만에서 많이 쓰는 표현이에요 본토에서는 zhen이나 feichang을 더 많이 쓰구요... 감탄사도 와쎄, 와카오는 들어 봤지만 카오베이를 본토 사람이 쓰는 건 들어 본 적이 없네요😅 그냥 사람들이 중국어라고 배우는 보통화와는 약간 거리가 있다는 점을 알아두셨으면 하는 뜻에서 남긴 댓글이에요! 브아이 너무 귀엽고 데이브씨도 각 나라 언어에 관심 갖는 자세 참 좋다고 생각해요☺
브아이가 한국에서 화교학교 다녔는데 한국 화교들 국적이 대부분 대만이기도 하고(역사적문제 때문에) 거기서 가르치는 중국어도 대만 중국어에 가까움
오 맞아여!! 예전 영상부터 느꼈지만 권설음을 심하게 발음하지 않는 걸 보니 남방 말투에 더 가까운 것 같아요! 그리고 정도가 높음을 말할 때 보통 표준어와 가장 가까운 말을 쓴다고 알려져있는 동북쪽 지방에서는(북경에는 베이징화,북경어라고 하는 방언이 따로 있습니다. 중국표준어인 보통화와 차이가 그닥 크지는 않지만 완벽히 같지도 않아요!) 윗 댓분 말대로 zhen 혹은 feichang을 더 많이 쓰고 chaoji는 약간 아 대박 맛있다 개 맛있다 존맛탱 이런 식으로 약간 젊은 사람들이 쓰는 인터넷용어? 같은 느낌이 더 강합니다. chaoji는 중국친구들이 쓰는 걸 자주 봤어요! 개인적으로 카오베이는 처음 들어서 신기하네요..!!! 데이브 이런 영상 다 너무 재밌음ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Well in Korea we write Chinese characters with are the complicated one so it's very useful for us to know those characters

Riv Vin I'm not ignorant. I know that there are many dialects in mainland because I myself am a Chinese (technically Malaysian Chinese but still), that's why I was puzzled that he had an accent that wasn't similar to his origin.

I actually find Korean way more difficult than Chinese. I mean, yes, writing in Hangul is easier, but Korean grammar is HARD. Chinese grammar is even easier than English grammar (not even mention Spanish grammar, if it wasn't my mother tongue...). Chinese has virtually no verbal tenses, you add the tense by adding "tomorrow" or "last year" or whatever you need, or it's implied by that context. Pronunciation, though, for me was more or less equally difficult in both languages. So... yeah, for me Chinese was definitely easier.
I am a Chinese student studying in America. I found English Grammar was so difficult when I first learn it. I didn't understand why people created two words "I" &"ME" to express the same meaning even though they are used in different positions in sentences...But now I got used to it, and I realized that English has the least difficult grammar in Germanic languages...

I've been born and raised in the US but for some reason when I speak mandarin I have a northern accent. The funny thing is my family is from the southern most part of China, not even close to any where like Beijing

I don't get how all these social media is blocked in China but I see a lot of people posting/uploading stuff on instagram, youtube, etc from China like wut explain

It's a bendable rule. I actually theorize it's a domestic protection for local social media, but obvsly you can't charge tariff on social media. Therefore, making it a hassle to access, elevating convenience of local social media.

I would say Chinese is a pretty easy language,at least for communicating with others.(Or is it just because l am a Chinese?
That would not be a problem for many foreigners.
However,for writing,yes,l agree that some words are difficult to write as it might be more complicated though.

Chinese is a difficult language to learn because it is tonal, some words have different ways of saying them and then also mean the same thing, right? I don't have that in my language so that makes it hard.
