We used to stay at Candy Cane Inn (during the 20-teens) and it was a wonderful value. We stopped Disney trips during the pandemic, and this was our first year back to Anaheim vacations. The new, post-renovation prices at Candy Cane Inn are so jacked up that we rented a 2 bedroom full condo (full kitchen, living room, dining room, 1 King bed, 2 twins) from WorldMark for less than a 2 queen standard room at Candy Cane Inn for our April 2024 Disney vacation. Thanks for the memories, Candy Cane Inn, but your price went too high and made other properties more competitive.
This is all true. It used to be an overwhelming incredible value as you said. Now it’s priced with the top tier hotels of the area, minus the “on property” hotels.
I totally agree. I loved the Candy Cane Inn and have stayed many times, but the prices are ridiculous now. Still, due to the shuttle, I have caved and made a reservation for my next visit. As a single person on my own at the parks, safety is an issue and walking back to a hotel is not a good thing. The only thing worse than Candy Cane Inn's new prices is paying the price for parking twice or more a day just so you can get to your room and wash your face or take a short break. The only other place with a shuttle is The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel, so there is that option.
@@catezaida8081 Makes complete sense! After Candy Cane Inn’s renovations, it started to price people out a bit. It still may be a viable option depending on wants/needs for amenities if one thinking around this price range. And we have 4-5 more reviews in the hopper, and a few more planned. Thanks for letting people know about the other shuttle option. 😃
The update is horrible. They used to have warm and inviting rooms now they are devoid of character and look like any soulless chain. At least the outside is still nice.

@@catezaida8081this is definitely one I’d feel really safe staying by myself. The free shuttle and parking saves it a bit.

Even before the renovation, the Candy Cane Inn was always our go to. It was always clean, the staff stellar, and you can walk or ride to DLand.
