Her spoilers were pretty minor. You won't regret it trying those games! Prior to BG3, BG1 and BG2 were the best cRPG games I've ever played. My advice is to not rush through. There's a lot of reading, but you should read everything because the writing is excellent.
This is basically how I did the Viconia fight. Used summons to eat hits while we retreated into that long ass hallway and put a max length WoF down it. They cast darkness on us so they couldn't range us and had to run to melee range, but everything died before it could reach us. Too easy.

Sarevok is a very cool dude, it gives you a celestial annoying punch bag as gift. One of the coolest ideas of Developers. Also a cool Grandpa. As companion should be awesome.
I did the same thing from all the way down the hallway but also had hunger of hadar and insect swarm lol. Just spent the whole fight pressing skip after that. It’s fun when stuff like it works.
I use cloud of daggers until I get wall of fire and then I use that in almost every fight for the rest of the game. It does really high aoe and also makes enemies run around it the long way. I just wish you could curve it a little
was wondering if it was possible to do a full build video/write up? I'm probably going to run Monk as a Dork Urge (good durge) run since i think its thematic with mastering ones self and stuff and I tend to do four elements but this makes me wanna do open hand and I would love to know what you're running! Also, bringing Jaeheria and Minsc to this fight was one of the greatest moments in video games for me, the FEELS
@@cccbbbaaa110 I tried that, but he was back at near full health after every round. You have to deal with them either by killing them or locking them down somehow. I only won when I had Karlach and Astarion destroy them first, then concentrate everything on Sarevok.
@@wallywest2360 It was way easier for me by concentrating everything on Sarevok and ignoring the buffers. It was so much harder for me the first time because I killed one of the girls, and it ended up giving Sarevok a permanent buff to his ac.
i hear wall of ice is better if you brake concentration after casting it it leaves a frost mist and works like wall of fire so you can cast another concentration spell after

Somehow I surprised Sarevok's ghosts in the throne hall, so they couldn't give him any buffs and finished him for one turn with special humanoid arrows, potion of speed and two guaranteed crits from the ring and from illithid ability
There is an easy way to cheese this fight on solo tac! go through the dialogue for killing the guy in the secret room, then as soon as the ghosts teleport away enter tb mode and attack him. they wont be able to assist and sarevok goes down easy
"I still carry the head of my dead companion in my bag" Says she, he responds "Great, now you just have to kill one more thing to prove yourself" Her "NO NOT THE CUTE FLYING DUMBO ELEPHANT"
If I had to have a guess it was strength dump monk using elixirs of cloud giant strength. Combined with tavern brawler its pretty potent especially with the right gear
I've watched quite a few of these videos you've made and I'm blown away. How do you do so much damage with your monk? Mine is nothing compared to yours
Use tavern brawler feat and cloud giant elixir, dump all abilities to wisdom then dex and con, use kushigo boots, additionally, use soul catcher gloves, helmet of grit etc, there are other gears im missing im sure Edit, I see her using vest of soul rejuvenation as well, for kushigo counter
@@lovegood2188 yes, but monk will start to scale with str if you have it higher than dex, so you can totally dump strength to 8 and use giant elixirs instead and invest in wisdom and dex, wisdom to scale your unarmoured AC and also additional damage bonus when you get the kushigo boots, dex for initiative etc. Also con, tavern brawler adds ur strength to unarmed damage as well
How do you get a +21 damage to 1d6 bludgeoning damage? Tavern Brawler would give you +10 at 20 strength only. So how in the hell could you get a +21 as her monk gets?

I never Realised how powerful the Monk was
Even a Level 6 monk got pretty good DPS.
It's especially strong in bg3 because you can just dump STR and make up for it with Elixirs

Yup firewall OP, I was suprised when I 1st tried to use it. Was like Woah, this is widest firewall I've seen in a game, wtf.
Commiting murder for that Drowussy and Tiefling head is just a sinsable thing to do.
I didn't know there was completely different fight, if you go throught judgement xD. I fought him in the main room with just 3 ghost ladies.
I fought him with the 3 ladies AND the death knights out the front. It was a grueling fight I was totally unprepared and unrested.

Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength sets your STR to 27, so +8 base +8 tavern brawler +5 wisdom (boots that add wis mod to unarmed damage) = +21
