- Another mucking around episode
catching and cooking and building and firewood and bits and pieces
The winter blues have kicked in after the run of fine weather. Snow on the way this weekend and next week - school holidays and winter camping and hunting missions!
I can see why bears hibernate during the winter months.
I finally went to the doctor to get my ass looked at. She reckons Im extremely lucky I didnt get an infection due to the massive amount of bruising. Half my ass was black and blue, my balls were and still are black and the top of the femur is bruised as well. Found out my tailbone is probably broken but its healing fast so all good!
Everything still works and I didnt lose a leg. Im just recording a Q & A podcast and will whack that up tommorow.
Gonna head out for a hunt tonight and try knock a deer over.
Its a fickle business hunting in the winter months on the west coast, as the deer all bugger off into the hills.
Have a marvelous rest of your week and stay warm this weekend!

Shine ya thermal sometimes ya see the studs with them
Making the gravey also can add marmite. Real good helps bring colour into it too
Looks like you have found yourself a nice new spot there, was a bit worried for you when you left Ross, good to see you have a new "friend" too!
No friend yet....
Too Good mate!!!!🤠👌👌💪🤙💯💯💯🪓🌲🪵🎣Nice 😊
Well done Josh 👏
Making men out of those boys.
I like those stairs
Should be solid fixing roughly 150-200mm above the window where the lintel will be 🤙
Good to know
Nice bit of editing there.
The house is becoming a home bit by bit :)
Cheers hooks
It's starting to feel more homely and less lonely
haha I remember going to the river with my brothers and helping the old man with collecting firewood. There was always one more log that looked too good to pass by. At that time I never really understood how hard my dad worked for something as simple as a warm home.
A man after my own heart! 👌🔥
How good is that not giving a FU*K book, the next one Everything id FU*KED is also a good read.
Great vid as well thanks.

Cheer brother
Cool video. Those Westland estuary’s are fascinating. Such an abundant ecosystem. Hope you get better 🇳🇿 🥝
Before bistro was available here and affordable in the 1950's we had roast every Sunday and my mom's gravy recipe was plain flour into the roasting dish but she also added Marmite stirred in. Was a great taste from memory but after 70 years it probably would taste like shit now. But at least it would mask the stench of lamb or hogget whichever was on the menu that particular Sunday and Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday was always shepherds pie.
Nice work Charlie, roast looked fab. 😊. Sorry about your tail bone, done it twice too. Had one mate say, why worry, already has a crack in it. 😊😊
Sorry to hear you broke your tail bone , for driving sit on a doughnut ( blow up ring) warehouse use to sell them or one of the foam neck supports for flying , heal up all the best
Stairs are lookin great there Bro 👌
I twisted my tail bone skidding over on ice. Was the worst pain.
Mate gravy is the finishing touch and a must for lamb.
Enjoy every video mate...from Margaret River in WA
Great filming Josh, you're a man of many talents.
my gravy recipe is the fatty juices from the meat in a saucepan veggie stock teaspoon of marmite and two bay leaves and cook it till it reduces down and add a teaspoon of corn flour with water to thicken and it comes out mint every time
Good afternoon, that stair case looekd ferkn mean bro, and hella heavy.
Crack up the young fella and well done on the starting the outboard.
Your an amazing father and it shows through your boys.
Have an amazing week
Much appreciated
@joshjameskiwibushman +My pleasure bro..have a good one.
Hey Josh how did ya break ya tail bone ? did you slip like legs out from under you land on ya butt ? like impact ,,i'm just asking as i've done the same similar thing twice myself ,first time i did my coxal ,2nd time i did my sacrum in the big vee-bone in the middle off ya pelvis & that's all i did slipped over on rocks hard impact that was insane ,i twisted it shifted it sideways & folded the top back on it & fractured it ,i didn't walk for 9-months well not very well or far put it that way & my nuts ached bad nests of nerves run thru there that's are connected straight to ya nuts ,,no walking no hanky panky that sucks i feel ya pain .& pain killers don't really work either .
Slipped on a log, second time broken...
Mrs Vercoe’s gravy recipe is legendary, comprised of roasting pan juice, plain flour and gumboot tea, from the teapot. Salt and pepper with a dob of butter.
Duly noted
You new home is looking amazing next level 👌
Love your videos Josh, been keeping me interested for going on 10 yrs id say. Where did you get the croc skull from?
A nice fellah from Aussie gifted it to me. Can't remember his name
Oyster blade steak or a cheaper gravy beef, add packet of french onion soup and I like to add slices of onion , slow cook it have it with mash and veg, easy and delicious.
Get a donut pillow so less preasure on the old coccyx
Thanks for the tips!
Hey Josh
I was just wondering where abouts you got your head unit from for your Hilux
Cheers
Off trademe. The Bluetooth is shot though
yes great video the music and editing was fantastic 😁
I had a cheap stud-detector once and I’m convinced it was just the Chinese manufacturer trolling me.
