Growing up, I loved hearing the stories of missionaries who traveled the world and spread the Gospel in dark and dangerous places. But what inspired me most, were the fearless women missionaries who stepped out of the limiting cultural boxes of their time to travel to African jungles and Indian streets, risking life and limb, so they could bring light where there was darkness and to rescue those in bondage.

You may wish to read "The Adventure of Missionary Heroism" published in 1912. This was a great encouragement to me, with many stories of little known heros of the faith.

Thank you for sharing! That book sounds interesting. The books I fell in love with as a child were the Missionary series "Christian Heroes: Then and Now" by Janet and Geoff Benge, through YWAM publishers. This book series offered complete books of countless missionaries! I also loved the stories of George Muller, Lottie Moon, David Livingstone, Gladys Aylward, and Corrie Ten Boom, but unfortunately I couldn't fit all of them into one video. ^.^ www.ywampublishing.com/p-470-christian-heroes-then-nowbrcomplete-set-books-1-50.aspx
