It's pretty damn sad that we aren't even guaranteed a way to watch every Xfinity race if our local station airs something else instead. Not even a "watch on our app" situation. We're entering a rough era for the sport. The number one way to turn fans away from the sport is to not air the races they want to watch.
Try NASCAR Drive. For Xfinity Races you get at least 3 in car cameras to choose from, you just won't have any spoken commentary during the races, but you will have stats and commercials (unfortunately), but better than next day streaming.
Prime's NFL coverage is the best quality sports broadcast I've ever seen, especially since it is produced in HDR. Hoping NASCAR gets the HDR treatment...
Great video. Can’t help but see this as a catastrophic error by nascar. There’s a reason why F1 maintains a huge and growing following with all practice, qualifying, and race days on one network. I will not be able to see many races this season after being a fan for 40 years.
I’m thrilled nascar is finally getting with the times, now a lot of these drivers better show this new audience some crazy shit and maybe nascar can make a comeback I’m hopeful

Thank you Eric for explaining how us Canadians can watch this year. I cant wait to finally watch 5 days of NASCAR with practice, qualifying, and three races this Valentine's weekend
Super disappointing that the CW races won't be streamed live in their app, especially with some stations potentially not showing the races in certain markets. I feel like it's a major L in today's landscape where so much can be watched on a TV, a phone, PC, gaming console etc.

But having it on just its own channel really makes it feel like its legit own thing might even be goodto be perceived that way in the eyes of fans, it kind of brings it more of its own petp to its step and if you will

I'm more excited about the Xfinity series than the Cup series this year. They had better show every race on race day. I'm never had much interest in watching past races.
NASCAR seems to best way to get people to watch races is to make it so complicated to schedule your viewing that you need a map and seven different streaming services. The greed among these media companies is why NASCAR doesn't have a one-stop app now (they should have started one years ago). These massive corporations would refuse to shell out the cash unless they had exclusive streaming rights.
7 different locations is fucking ridiculous and should be getting more flack than it is, they want the casual fan but just caused nothing but confusion for that type of fan

Meanwhile if you watch Indycar and/or F1 in addition to NASCAR there are some changes as well. With Indycar, every race including the Indy 500 is on big Fox (replacing NBC) with Will Buxton, Townsend Bell & James Hinchcliffe making up the booth. Indycar qualifying/practice & every Indy NXT race will be on FS1/FS2. Then with F1, they are still on ESPN/ABC for one more season, though ABC will be airing more races this season with Miami, Monaco, Canada, COTA, Mexico, Brazil & Vegas all on ABC. There is also going to be an exclusive ESPN+ race which is likely going to be either the Austrian, British or Belgian GP. There is also a change in the F1 booth with Crofty working with a rotating set of color commentators due to Martin Brundle retiring at the end of last season.
This is great, thank you! Can you also do a video on where to LISTEN to a race? Some of us aren't always in the house to watch the race, we're outside doing "stuff" and prefer to listen. The nascar app doesn't (at least I couldn't figure it out) stream the radio coverage of the race. I, personally, have a difficult time trying to figure out where to listen to races.
It's listed on the NASCAR schedule page. The east coast of Virginia lost all radio broadcast of races about 5 years ago... And I fear it won't come back again 😭 They really need a I heart radio channel!
Will the NASCAR application for computer devices provide all three series of races, with practices and qualifying, and how will commentators and cameras display the coverage?
To comment on a positive, I am excited for the in-season tournament. If it goes well, I hope next year they do it with some playoff points thrown in instead of just the $1M. Maybe give a playoff point to each of the final 4, another one for each of the final 2, and three more playoff points for the winner (5 total). Also I hope this improves the Brickyard 400 too, since that track deserves high quality racing that we haven't always seen
