These 2v2 games, imo, are way more interesting than the 1v1s with your casting. Plus, alot of game knowledge is being shared. Looking forward to more 2v2s, especially outside of the tournaments 👍👍👍
"Fr" stands for "Freiwillige". Which means Volunteer. Basically its a Volunteer Police Unit. Historically it was a Milita Unit active in Berlin during the Coldwar.
Commenting for the algorithm :) But since I'm already here: the "Fr." stands for Freiwillige (Volunteer). So the unit represents West Berlin's paramilitary "Volunteer Police Reserves" (since there were no actual FRG troops in Berlin allowed).
The problem with infantry numbers just comes down to the respective sides TO&Es. Soviets had small squads historically but they had HUGE numbers of them, the issue is they're all supposed to come in IFVs which balloon the cost artificially in warno meaning you can't actually get the critical mass. Meanwhile NATO had larger squads but they'd have less squads in an equivalent sized unit. I think the way to adjust things is card availability. PACT decks need more infantry units per card then NATO
The thing that slays most Pact players IMO is that they don't even take the IFVs a lot of the time, especially if only BMP-1s are available, they take their 7-8 man squads in trucks and it ruins the card efficiency of their whole infantry tab and leaves their infantry without fire support. That's why the only Pact division the community likes is the 27th, because they'll actually use the BMP-3. It's like if you played 3rd Armored and took only 6 man Fire Teams in Humvees, it doesn't work. For close combat 79th & 39th get BMP-1PGs with automatic grenade launchers for 45 points, 4th and 7th get BMP-1s without ATGMs for only 25 points each, 6ya gets both options, and everybody gets BTRs with two MGs for 30 points. For those prices, even if it only stays alive for a few seconds of shooting at a 40-60 point infantry squad and maybe has a chance to pick off a random recon vehicle or manpad, they'll break even on points, and if you micro them properly you can do much better with them. Also, even the most expensive tank takes minimum 1 damage from any HEAT hit, 10% of an M1A1 is 27 points, that East German BMP-1 only has to touch something expensive once to justify bringing it in.
Pact strategy wasn't really meat wave, it was metal wave. Everyone was supposed to drive in sealed steel coffins through the glass desert that used to be west germany

GG, btw Hippie since you basically saved British divs (obviously), now we gotta save some of the pact divs. Like 39y is literally a generic soviet div with nothing unique since all its unique aspects got relocated to other divs and the new things that it did receive are shared with other soviet divs. Or Groppers. Or other pact divs.

I wish pal guns got more than 3 crew. It feels ridiculous that a massive 100mm gun would be getting operated by 3 dudes, especially since it can’t hid in buildings and is slow as balls. I want to love them, but they just get rekt by tanks and arty

It doesn't help that the Motostrelki for 7 men cost the same as Engineer Dragon for 10 lol
