I'm a 50 year old baller, been watching Mr. McClung for a few months now. Love his offensive skills, he's been exciting to watch. I've been wanting to see more "D" though. You got to play both sides. If you score 50 and let the team get 5 easy buckets from a lack of "D" your net is 40 points. You have to practice "D" just like you practice offense. There are skills such as "forcing" and "anticipation", not to mention speed, that you learn from practice. Work on those skills too boss, you'll be a better PLAYER.

Amazing Game
Their quick guard play (mainly #12) killed Gate City. Once they were able to get in the lane whenever they wanted to, he could just dish it off to his big men if help side defense got drawn to him.

not saying #23 and #1 can't ball, they can, but I think the weak competition they played all year made them look better then what they are. That being said, they're still underclassmen and have time to develop. Hope the best for them. On the other hand, Mac is the real deal. No matter what team he plays, he always manages to get his.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of his, but I really worry that his size and speed just aren't enough for the higher levels. He did seem to struggle keeping up with those guards' speed. In college the guards will be even faster and they'll be bigger than those kids. Not sure how well he's gonna do. Also notice the lack of dunks he has against a team that can play some defense. What about college where their defense will be even better than this AND they'll be much taller than these kids? I really hope I'm wrong and he does well, but I think it's gonna be really tough for him unless he hits a huge growth spurt or can somehow dramatically improve his quickness.

Saying size doesn't matter in D1 or Nba ball is crazy... The guys you speak of are exceptions. They overcome their small size by being extremely quick and athletic. Mac has the athleticism, I just worry he's not quick enough. What I was saying is that he needs to either get a lot quicker, or hit a growth spurt because having larger size DEFINITELY helps at the higher level. His jumping ability helps overcome that, but as you can see in this game; when the defense is good he can't get the opportunities to get above the rim like when they play against those crappy teams we see in his big highlight reels.

a lot of the players on the graham look to pass first, and the right guys take the shot a lot of the time... and their big knows how to slip screens, i love watchin stuff like that. Mac couldnt do it by himself early on... and graham made it happen and picked up the defensive end towards the end.
