Definitely highlight of the trip! The waterfall is in The Valley of Lombadas (Cascata das Lombadas) But It’s very hard to get down there so be careful 😉
@@ilyaIvanov_personal amazing, I love a challenging hike with a big payoff. Wondering if there are any other hidden gems you encountered when you were there. Any less touristy locations?
@@scottholman2437 The waterfall I mentioned is not touristy at all to my surprise, we had the whole place to ourselves. Also a must visit location is Mata Jardim José do Canto (2:12 - 2:28), it's like a jungle there, and ticket is 3€ a person, and you can come back the next day, very underrated place, and again we were alone there. More "less touristy places" are: Cascata do Teófilo Salto do Cagarrão Salto Do Prego Cascata da Ribeira Quente And this is just one island (San Miguel) they are 8 islands more which is incredible. But this island is the most versatile.
@@ilyaIvanov_personal that is extremely helpful thank you so much, I will be sure to visit atleast a couple of those spots! It is looking like I will only have time to go to maybe one more island in addition to Sao Miguel so most time will be spent there
@@ilyaIvanov_personal can you please let me know how was the temperature during day and night? Also were the rains long or short and frequent? Thank you
@@hRDLAification well November and December are the rainiest months for Azores, but temps in late November were great for me (20/21 degrees Celsius or 70 Fahrenheit) But expect a lot of rain, and bring a rain jacket. Also it will be very cloudy. I think going to the forest or park is great when it’s rainy. Check here for more accurate climate: www.ipma.pt/pt/oclima/normais.clima/1971-2000/#512
@@hRDLAification The temps were almost the same as the day temps, about 1/2 degrees cooler, rain was lasting for 4 days in a row, but that can change at any moment. We got quite unlucky with the weather but still had a great time. A lot of waterfalls when it’s rainy
Impeccable images. Keep up the good work. I take this opportunity to invite you to follow "Azores, What Else", both here on TH-cam, as on Instagram and other social networks. Best regards.
