I met a Native American at that time called Riley Sunrise that I felt like I had known my entire life. I was around 9 years old and he was so kind to me. My parents would leave me there to dance as I refused to go anywhere else. I visited for many years and always visited Riley. We became pen pals also, and I wrote to him on the Reservation in Arizona during the winter. LOVE YOU RILEY. A few years ago I happened upon a documentary on the Photographer who took early photos of the Native Americans on the reservations across the country and Riley was interviewed. SHOCKED and HAPPY to see him again as an Adult (me).
Actually, there is no way to see practically anything from ground level. First you enter and you have to go up stairs or up the elevator. The restaurant is actually upstairs. It was very classy.
The first time I went about 15 years ago the food was very impressive. The next time I went about 10 years ago the food was very good but not as impressive.

Of course, it was all under strict supervision from mucky-mucks and only a few of us got to see these rooms. I also worked at Club 33, the other secret place at Disneyland. There were also secret tunnels that only employees had access to to get into the park. Have fun trying to find them. They were real easy to get into before 9/11. Most of them got sealed up. Last time I checked, only 2 tunnels exist now.

A KEI walts suite was left as it was I think because the family couldn’t remove anything when he died as they said it belonged to Disney when new boards came in. His family basically left with nothing no belongings no memories of where they grew up and had the best times of their lives no mementos where they allowed to take even though it was there home away from home. Now Disney makes millions from showing their stuff off.

I was lucky enough to go into Walt's apartment when I worked at Disneyland for a year. During Christmas, Santa was taking pics with select cast members in the apartment. I actually got teary eyed when I realized where I was. Still have the pic here somewhere. ❤
I’ve seen that light many times - I was a season(-ed. yo que) pass(olé!) holder, and kinda began to love the “parque” en Español because O it’s so much fun to see how everything translates, especially with perfectly bilingual Disneyland employees who didn’t mind an apparently rather strange foreigner like me who apparently didn’t know much English but was trying so hard to communicate with what Spanish he had - y una vez pensé que veía una luz desde una ventana aún más alta y le pregunté a alguien allí si podían verla y dijeron que sí and it really made my day because I actually didn’t sound crazy, pointing that out, or like I was a beginner speaker at all, who has never in his life had a lesson, but just listens to music and the beautiful luxurious bath of conversation all around me everywhere for that decade in LA. It is something I miss a lot here back in Kansas City, because the Latino community is so much smaller, and the radio is only a tiny fraction of the bandwidth ... but I hope to see La Reina de Los Angeles one day again - un dia por venir!

Cuz I just happened to look down and I saw Mickey's everywhere my family didn't catch on until I said it but that was amazing

For Club 33 members this was really disappointing and a diminished value for the $15k that is paid every year to be a member. As for the Dream Suite, it's hard to get in, that much is true but it's not impossible. Members of the public get to stay here all the time. Again, not a Club 33 exclusive. Places the public CANNOT go? 1) Club 33 2) The Matterhorn basketball half-court 3) The Haunted Mansion cupola at the top 4) The 1901 Lounge
