This is my favourite trope 😂😂 I love all the different ways writers wrangle the characters together
one thing I love about ur channel is how u really go in depth & tell us what the book is all about..like you really give us more than just the synopsis & I absolutely love that. I've watched booktubers that have literally said to go look up the book on goodreads cos they didn't want to say what the book was about haha 😅😅
Thank you! Yes, I decided pretty early on in my Booktube career that I would always give a bit more info. Telling me what the trope of the book is is not enough info for me. Some people get mad at me, but I am like, "Then go watch someone else who is just going to list the name of the book." When I see reviews or suggestions I want to know WHY you like it.
So thanks for telling me that.
I love these videos! You always have the best recs!
I love this trope so freaking much!
I love love love On The Island. It is definitely one of my all time faves! 🥰
I already have Starry Eyes on my shelf, like you waiting for the right YA-mood. One of my favorite Forced Proximity books is Beyond The Sea by Keira Andrews. It's a M/M-story about two guys planecrashing on an island. A sexier and a lot more more serious M/M-version of the the movie "Six days, seven nights".
Loud Mouth by Avery Flynn is one of my new forced proximity loves. It has the travel aspect (forced to be in a cabin together during a snowstorm), but there's also the reason that the H hates the h that creates another type of forced proximity. Avery Flynn is great at the rom coms (and this is a hockey romance as well), but she pulls on the heartstrings with this one, too. (Also, she writes some good sexy times!)
A couple of forced proximity stories I’ve liked lately were K. Bromberg’s Faking It and Vi Keeland’s (I think?) British Bedmate! Both were on Audible Escape!
I have such good things about On the Island. It sounds so emotional. Romancing the Duke sounds so good I just want to dive hard into Historicals right now! I've only read Dares Wallflower series, interested to see what her other books are like, Im sure they are fantastic!
Yes yes yes! Historicals have everything and the angst is even better
❤️
I love forced proximity. I feel like a lot of Highlander romances use this trope. I eat it up!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think you'll really love Boyfriene Material by Alexis Halls! It has some forced proximity vibes in it and it's overall a really good read
Lols. I just read that last week. I wasn't really a fan. I've read better from Alexis Hall
@@TheBookRefuge oof i didn't catch that you finished it! Interesting, that was actually my first novel from that author. Whats in your opinion their best novel? :)
"For Real" was my favorite. Its an age gap between to men. And it has BDSM as a main focus. It was so good. I cried so many times.
@@TheBookRefuge thanks! I'll add it to my tbr!
Mia Sheridan has a great stranded romance
