It is so great to see 2 strokes again!! My last race was in 1999 @ Loretta Lynn's (125 B mod) i raced for Team F&S Suzuki out of Dayton, Ohio. Our team bikes were fast and I can't even phantom how much faster they are today. I remember before I was picked up by F&S Suzuki, my bikes were stolen up in Columbus, Ohio and I ran a friend of mine brand new 1999 stock KTM SX 125. It was very smooth. It was the only other bikes besides the RM that I really felt good on. I went and won my class in Louisville after 3 days of getting to practice on it.. The RMs were fast back in the late 90s and I feel their 125s were @ the top of the game.
I bought a 99 KTM125SX that was raced by the KTM Australian factory team in late 98-99. HGS pipe, Vortex ignition, ported etc. It was the quickest 125 that l ever rode. I loved that bike... I wish that l never sold it. I've ridden slower 250's !
🤣 tell me about it I learnt the hard way on my 97 yz125 when I got into the sport 4 years ago went straight into a tree with a bald front tire, weak front break and a broken clutch lever which I went straight into the tree and lever cut me open lucky my knee pads stopped most of it but still have the scar but I don’t think there’s a better bike then a 125 it’s so addicting
Trenton Borr 2002? Man you deserve a new one I work at a ktm dealer and I own a 2020 125 and I’ve ridden those old ktms and the new ones are hugely improved
Nope. 125s are fun to ride they’re nimble, but a stock 250f has more power and torque than any 125 don’t have to work as hard for power. Would never trade my 350 for this.

Obviously any new 450 is awesome and it’s great for a budget, but for 1000$ more it’s worth having electric start, map selections etc. I have a 350 husky and for me it’s perfect. I don’t need a 450 and having a little more than a 250 is nice without it being as gnarly as a 450, I always take the outside I sit down a lot. I highly recommend it.

My parents bought it for me Christmas on 93. That thing fouled a lot of spark plugs. NGK was the factory plug. I ran a Champion spark plug finally and damn near never fouled a plug afterwards. I later became fully sponsored by Splitfire and man, those were damn good. My last race was 20 plus years ago. My second time at Loretta Lynn's Nationals in 1998. By then I was riding for F&S Suzuki and didn't pay for nothing else. I gave it up do to so many injuries through my racing career. I am thinking about getting myself a used 4stroke Enduro bike. I just don't know what to get.
@@mickeybeahl2233 When kids are learning that fowls plugs (as you know) I used to replace the NGK B9EGV with a hotter B8ES until they were riding them properly on the pipe. It helped..

The husky 2 strokes are second to none. I picked up a 2019 te150 husqvarna and it's the best single track trail bike I've ever owned.
