After 3 Months, Out of the Mud and Snow! #5

  • The two jerks are building with logs! And they are happy to no longer be winter camping. Now permanent residents of the Ringworm wilderness, they have lived and slept on snow, ice, rocks and mud for (hopefully) the last time. After many days of cutting trees and clearing brush then lots of chainsaw milling cedar trees, the deck is done. Again.
Ryan's new tent turned out to be twice as big as expected so the deck had to be expanded before it could even be used. But it being the only flat "ground" on the property, it was worth every minute of the work.
For these friends of over two decades, flat ground to sleep on is worth more than just about anything. Errr, discounting bacon and liquid cheeses anyway.
Want to know how to build a deck? Well, this is how one MIGHT build a deck. If the only tool you had to use was a chainsaw. And you had no experience building a deck from logs and chainsaw milled lumber.
Ringworm is a remote property in Northern Michigan purchased for no other reason than to serve as a grown-up playground for nature-loving idiots. Tito and Ryan have been friends since high school and over the years have spent the majority of their time camping and screwing around in the woods. After two decades of dreaming and scheming of owning their own piece of wilderness, everything finally came together early 2020.
There is no road to the property, no water, power nor structures of any kind. It is simply a slice of Michigan forest remote enough that nobody will ever hear their screams. Or ask why they are carrying a spear to breakfast. Or pick on them for not wearing pants. Or question if they really need a blowtorch that big to light a wood stove.
    And they actually live there!
Because I’ve gotten so many questions about the gear that I use on the channel, here are some of the most important pieces I use every day:

ive never thought about what it costs to live, but hearing about how you assemble with screws and finalize with nails is very interesting. Nails cost less which means less time working for money, which means more time in the woods. Call it frugal or cheap or whatever you want but now see it as being smart with your time. Keep it up !!!!!

I just found this channel, and I have to say, ur craftsmanship I love it! It doesn’t need be perfect for everyone else, just for yourselves. I do wish u were my neighbors. Because I have been trying to build a lil cabin up in the mountains just for me and my lil guy , who’s 6. He loves the outdoors and so do I. But I’m def not someone who can build things. I did take our 4 wheeler and pull some sheets of plywood up the mountain. We have 60-70 acres , so we do have tons of trees tht we could use. Watching this has given me some ideas, just not so sure I should use a tarp as a roof just in case a tree should fall, etc. LOL. But u guys have done an awesome job so far. Can’t wait to watch the rest 👍

DONT FUCKING DO IT> it takes incredible amounts of cosmic energy to come at you from the past like this- but I know you are a galactic explorer, and will see what I have done. on my current thread, thanos is attacking and has caused the Thanos-Ryan to stop contemplating his journey and sharing the contemplation and inspiration. It means that Thanos-Ryan has been lost and Thanos has stolen his creative mind. in this reality it is crucial that you choose to include inspirational thoughts as intros to your vidjos. mostly, contemporary viewers want evening sky-or-tree-or-wildlife timeplapses or trailcams to close vidjos to a fine polish. get yer shit together, the Youniverse is at stake. also the btc wallet addy?
