      Brands have got to diversify and offer different products. Can't be a one trick pony. The days of choppers, bobbers and even sports bike has waned. They'll come back, but you can constantly sell the past.

    I love the detail you get into with these bikes. Your reviews answer the questions that none of the others do and you come at these reviews from a normal person perspective and not an ex racer view. Reviewers where peak horsepower and brakes are everything and the fact that the bike needs to run on unicorn tears and valve checks every 100 miles is glossed over.

    • @ridenroll.juliane
      @ridenroll.juliane  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The suspension was very comfortable in the Road Mode. In Sport Mode it was harder and sportier. For the Pan America Special with the semi-active suspension it depends on the mode you‘re in. In User mode you can also adjust it individually. Hope this helped :) Unfortunately I can’t tell you anything about the suspension of the base model because I haven’t tried that yet. Good afternoon from America. First let me say I really liked your review of this new model from harley davidson. The Pan America.
    I was to be one of the first to received the new model but I'm battling covid in my legs. I'm in recovery. Which is disappointed. Making a slow recovery but getting there.
    I have a 32 inch pants leg inseam. And this seat drop is perfect. I probably would have bought a KTM a few years back but I was dangling my legs trying to touch the ground. I'm 6'1" tall but still have issues. The hill hold control is wonderful. Men and women listen up. This is great. When loading and unloading a motorcycle can get critical at times and people tend to hurry holding a finger on the front break and throttle control at the same time. Causing crashes. What a wonderful idea and sold me completely. Soon as I heal up from covid I'm off to order me a special in this model. Thanks

I've been researching all the other manufacturers models to educate myself on what to compare this to ever since it was announced. We should be seeing these in dealerships very soon and I can't wait to test ride it. I believe this will be added to my stable once I experience the capabilities of this machine for an alternative type of riding. I'm going on 56 years old and at 5'8" (almost 173 cm) I was worried about seat height but you pretty much put that to rest. Now I'm absolutely salivating to put this through it's paces! Greetings from Australia. Fantastic, comprehensive, real world review ... thank you! I am encouraged by the fact that you are able to ride such a big bike as I am only two centimetres taller than you. My 2017 BMW S1000XR is about due for replacement and your review of the Pan Am has been very helpful in putting the Pan Am in the frame for me. At age 67 I don't do much off-road riding any more but I certainly do a lot of long-distance touring ... often covering anywhere from 800 to 1200 kms a day. The Pan Am seems like an ideal bike for that. The weight worries me a bit but we'll see how that goes when I get to do a test ride. My local HD dealer has a static model to look at but no test ride models until June. The Pan Am looks a lot better "in the flesh" than it does in videos and brochures and the the headlight is not as ugly/offensive as it appears in promotional material. I agree with you about the need for an advanced bike like the Pan Am to have a quick shifter. Thanks again for a terrific review.

    I fully get the height issue with large adventure bikes, I ride a Triumph Tiger900 Rally Pro, the tallest of the options so the seat height on the low setting is 850mm. At 5’6” like yourself it can take a bit of getting used to, I cannot flat foot it and I am constantly aware when it comes to slowing down or stopping in traffic. As of yet I have not been off-road with it, my confidence levels are not as high as I would like so I am considering getting a slimmer seat which may take it to 830mm.
    I am currently working in Munich so have been enjoying the same weather as you had - rained nearly solidly all the way from Calais to Munich on my journey over.
    The local Harley dealer does not have one yet but I am very keen to try one
    Stay safe and enjoy your journey

    Whilst I'm not entirely convinced about the actual need for these colossal Starship Enterprise motorcycles, that was an excellent and very comprehensive review especially in that it includes dirt riding in cold wet weather.
    Also a powerful reminder that you do not need to be a large/tall person to fully enjoy *ANY* motorcycle.

    Juli, I have watched a lot of videos on this Harley davidson pan American and for those are giving good reviews about the pan American bike, if your enjoying the bike that much, then your own personal approval is the main factor, and I think your doing a real knock out job, 😎🇺🇸👍I think your dam cool your own self

    HD knocked it out of the park with the PA. Only just a click behind the BMW. Can not wait to see the next model of the PA

    Hello, I am new to the channel and the bike world. I think it is a good looking bike with bold front look. All the features and technologies looks very functional and will work with so many rider statures. As you mentioned earlier this bike is a road bike, adventure bike and have features like ride height adjustments, ride modes such as rain, sport, off road 1&2, adaptive forward facing lamps. My opinion it is a leatherman tool of the bikes. Thanks for sharing the video.

    I couldn’t decide wether to focus on the great bike or on Juliane: her enthusiasm, her smiles, the way she presents all the details... She’s so attractive! Well done, outstanding job! We need more reviews like this one. Thumbs up!

      Eurgh, it's so ugly...... But that review changed my mind somewhat, could have been the pretty lady and German accent taking my attention off the bike though!
