Paid My Dues Single was realeased by NF sometime after his Search Album in response to some articles that were written after he dropped the Album criticising his work. Some of the publishers were pissed that his album topped the charts at no. 1 even when he realeased it in the same week as another album by a big name in the industry, Chance the rapper. They were upset that NF (who in their eyes were just "an upcoming white rapper wannabe Eminem") beat Chance to go no. 1 at the charts.

It's a little frustrating as you see people reacting to Outro and not getting what exactly is happening with the video. It's an Avengers moment when it all comes together. And yes, you should hear Outro before Intro III even though it's flipped on the album.
i don't understand why you fellas make it such a big deal that he' not cursing. he's a Christian and doesn't want to curse i can accept it. but anything else is bullshit. Ronnie Radke put some curse words in Popular Monster song. do they make the song worse and invalidate the meaning of the lyrics? no. he even questions religion and even this doesn't make the song worse.
@@SapiaNt0mata He doesn't curse because he just doesn't like the sound of it, it has nothing to do with his religion or beliefs. He even says he used to write songs with swears in them but it just wasn't his style. Him not swearing in such a vulgar genre is just one of the many things that make him DIFFERENT from everybody else, it has nothing to do with validity of lyrics or what his religious beliefs are.

@@lukeborst2751 I actually found NF with Intro 3...it was so moving for me so of course I went digging and was blown away when I connected the dots later... I skipped some songs that I wasn’t feeling and I know it was all out of “order” but it all made sense eventually...honestly don’t think I’d change it! Almost feel it was that much more 🔥 when I realized!

As to what others are saying. NF has concepts for all albums. Therapy Session was the birth of the joker smile. Perception was the cage he was locked in. His fear had him locked up. Balloons are his burdens. So he escapes the cage from perception and faced his fears. Now he’s on a search to find happiness again. Most artists you can listen to out of order but NF aid absolutely not one of them. I tell people they’re like chapters of a book. Read it out of order? Book doesn’t make sense. He’s brilliant
Edit: also Mansion is his first album which builds all concepts for his music. He calls his mind a Mansion and different rooms hold different emotions. Nate likes to personify his emotions. “All my emotions are liars.” And “listen to INTRO III trying to kill my fear.” Etc. They personify his emotions as if they’re people living in this mansion of his mind. So in this song he says “had to see a therapist and I found out/ something funny is going on in my house.” AKA his mind.
Honestly, impressive deductive reasoning compared to most for reacting to him the first time. Looking forward to more NF vids man!

This was the 1st song I'd heard by him. I have a playlist just for songs that say what I feel, for when my Depression, Anxiety, & self-harm are bad. This is one. I really appreciate it, so much, especially no swearing. But really, if you've ever had PTSD, DV, and struggle with Mental Health, it's no laughing matter. What he says is so accurate.

Therapy Session, ... etc.. this is the words right out of NF's mouth during a interview. He was asked where should people start and he said old school track one, two, three....etc!!! If you go by people's lists your going to miss songs that are fire that some people don't include. With NF...you miss a whole lot when you skip. He has no fillers.

I'm impressed with what you've caught in this on your first listen/watch. You caught certain things that the majority never caught on their first listen. Great job. Now, as some listed in the comments and my emailed list, you're ready for the NF Journey. You caught what he meant by "Something funny going on up in 'My House'" to which I direct you to the beginning, and as you take the journey, your appreciation of that line (and many others) will grow by leaps and bounds. The vast majority of his music is connected. You're also one of a very small handful of people who caught that the black balloons symbolizes burdens quickly and you're also correct about the cage (Perception album) but the kicker is that everything is a lot deeper than you can see/know at this time.
I'm here for the Journey with you and brace yourself as the more you do NF, the more the outcasts (NF fans) will flock to your channel (and your channel will start blowing up even more). Nothing in this (or any of his) videos are accidental and everything means something. NF is a very unique and special type of artist. His music is more designed for the emotional impact (does a lot on mental health) and that is his primary focus, however, he does have some nasty bars as you'll quickly discover (and a *lot* of them).

Man bro I been in the beats since the founding fathers of rap hit the scene like Run Dmc. Because I grew up a huge fan of gangster rap. Pac, biggy etc. I have been a music critic for 40+ yrs. I had a stint of being a Eminem fan but have never really been into white rappers with exceptions of the Beastie boys and Em. I say all this because NF smashes all of these white rappers. I been following him since he was in the underground with released music under Nate fuerenstein. From the beginning of his releases its been a timeline of his life and transparency of dealing with this insane world. Pure poet just as pac was.

NF is one of my favorites. With him, like you already noticed, it helps if you know what he has done before. I know some NF fans says that it doesn't matter in what order you listen his stuff. I peg different. He references so much in his new stuff to his past that it makes you lose a lot of things if you don't know what the past is. That is why I really, I mean really recommendate to go back to beginning with him and take the whole thing that NF fans calls NF journey. (I see someone already posted the journey list for you. That is seriously the way to go.) Even though you are good with catching things like his reference to balloons (what is something most reactors miss when this is their first contact to NF) It will give you better understanding to him. And I really would like to keep watching your reactions to him. Also if you take the proper journey watch this video again before reacting to Leave me alone because that is the next part to this. And yeah, he is different kind of rapper but in very good way.
