- This wedding venue is my first build with #WeddingStories! This monastery can be used as a wedding venue but also changed into a lounge for the various wedding parties and celebrations your Sims can now go through.

I actually have a gameplay with a group of sims as medieval monks living in a monastery. I put them in clubs to do the daily errands of real monks like studying, working and meditating. They also focus on working as paranormal investigators with the abbot and prior as the main investigators and the other as working monks within the monastery. Using MCC mod, i flag them to never get married, and "abstinent" so that when i play other households, they'll be there living their lives. Monk habit cc (monk robes) really helps too. Idk. I like playing as monks since Kingdom Come Deliverance. Lol
This is such a fun way to play The Sims. I had to pin it here. Hope you can revamp this monastery and maybe try it out as a real monastery for your monks. Glad you like the build.

This sounds awesome. I need to look up those MCCC settings. I've got a (mostly) fantasy medieval save that includes a monastery in Oasis Springs and a convent in Tartosa, but the last time I sent a couple of my sims out to eat, they ran into Brother Joseph having a clandestine date there at the inn. 😅
I'm just looking at the thumbnail and I'm quaking lol it looks so GOOD! If I just scrolled past it I'd think it was a photo from Assassin's Creed or something not the Sims!

This is so good! I'm not religious either, but, Monasteries are fun to build! But due to my years of playing games such a Diablo and WOW, my Monasteries always have creepy catacombs underneath them LMAO!

I’m downloading this and I’m gonna put a camera stand and place markers for sims to hire a photographer to take really nice wedding photos. This is gorgeous. For a traditional wedding. The gothic wedding is a great idea and a castle wedding for princess dramatic weddings
This is an absolute great idea. There is a corner that’s perfect for a photo booth set up!
I think you should do whatever you want with the rainbow swatches! I'd love to see a circus build from you. The rainbow stuff from the Sims team is just their interpretation of "pride" or attempt at being inclusive. Every player will have their own ways of making meaning from this game so I think just do what you like. Also I don't find the rainbow swatches particularly useful for ordinary gameplay or my personal style.

This build is amazing and to think you used just the base game and the wedding pack, just go's to show just how talented you are.
The style of this building is going to fit just right in Selvadorada, I would love to see hat you could do with this once the pack has been released and you have access to all you game content, I think that an upgrade version of this is going to mind blowing, also the honey moon suit was a very nice touch, it means the happy couple can now consummate the wedding in style.

Yes! A forrest fairy wedding venue would be great! Maybe we can tie that with cottage living somehow

I so happy that you got to build this for the official Sims release. It looks beautiful! That trick with the mirror and frame is brilliant. I’m surprised they let you alt place objects though,LoL. I’d assumed that was one of the restrictions.
Oh this is not included in the pack. I think HeyHarrie, Simlicy and CatherinaGames did the builds that come with the pack. I just built this with a prerelease version.

This is an incredibly lovely wedding venue! If I can find a good lot for it that I'm not already using, I'd love to download this version as a wedding venue and then also save a library copy with the wedding decor and furnishings removed for an "everyday" version I could switch to when there isn't a wedding scheduled there.

Gorgeous. This is inspiring me to do a medieval monastery play in Tartosa. Once the pack's on sale of course, because I refuse to pay full price for a game pack without gameplay 🙃
This! No attraction system whatsoever with a literal wedding pack.. (The only pack I got for full price was Batuu bc I'm such a scifi nerd tho 😆🖖)
I agree. Even though I am a builder and really normally don’t care about gameplay especially weddings, I think the Gameplay ind this Gameplay Pack is very lackluster. Even in Batuu there was more AND tons of new assets since they had to build this huge theme park world into the game. If i wouldn’t habe this youtube channel I wouldn’t have bought/get the pack at all. It’s not much.

Oh, would LOVE to see a Gothic wedding venue from you! I was kind of surprised this one wasn't. ;-) This one is beautiful though. I really love the design. As for the circus build using the rainbow swatches... I don't really see why you couldn't. I can't speak for the entire LGBTQ+ community, but from what I've seen said so far, a whole lot of us - including myself - agree that these rainbow swatches are a bit on the ridiculous side. Plus, those of us who have been following you for quite a while know you are not queerphobic. I feel that if you feel inspired to do it, go ahead and do it!
The rainbow build is probably not gonna be a circus. I already had a deep look into it and have to say it’s not that circus-y as I thought. But I found another use for it!

Religious structures are some of the most beautiful and complex buildings in any practice, be it Catholic or Buddhist or Islamic or Hindu. We don't need to believe in that religion to appreciate the craftsmanship and love that goes into to building a place of worship. Your build is beautiful! Would love to see you do a non Christian religious build, maybe a Synagogue or a Mosque!
Oh yeah. I totally agree. Places of worship are so awe dropping one can only marvel about them. I was thinking about building a mosque of some sort. Now with the moroccan kit we got lots of cool beams and whatnot that are crucial for that type of architecture.

Wouldn’t it be cool if they did a birthday kit pack. Now that something since-able for a kit! They can have the void critter Thame or just keep it simple with some stand along balloons and some cute birthday cakes 🧁 🎂(similar to the cakes they did with the cupcakes on this new pack) and a bouncy house maybe a birthday banner and party hats 🥳 and maybe and birthday table with sets that match and a gift table that you can actually open gifts 🎁 ( like they did for seasons. But Tailored to that kit) that would be a good pack and you can’t even mass that up… welll🤷🏽♂️
I agree. Even though I am a builder I would have appreciated a pack revamping the parties. Add funerals and cemeteries. Add weddings with wedding venues. More birthday party stuff and also how in general the parties work.
I don’t play The Sims anymore but I do like to watch some Sims gameplay once a while! The build is amazing Fry! Keep up the amazing work! I hope to catch a stream also some time 🙂!

Those rainbow swatches are such a corporate way of doing pride that it doesn't come off as genuine. I'm LGBTQ myself (don't feel like specifying :P) and I couldn't imagine being offended bc I'll trust that your intentions are good, also I'd kinda enjoy the shade of it, using EA's take on pride swatches for a circus build.. :D
Haha. Very happy you like it and that it inspired you for your game. I already started figuring playing around with the rainbow items. And it’s sadly bot gonna be a circus or carneval but something very different. In my opinion it’s still very tacky. So the satire and shade is still there😈😈😈
It looks a bit like some of the Spanish missions in California. If I was a builder I would turn it into a house.

About the rainbows and the circus: us queers don't claim those rainbows. We call those specific swatches "clown dresses" too
Yeah I know. Just hideous those dresses. What kn earth were they thinking. I’m not against pride rainbows on clothing at all, but mostly a rainbow bow or trim would have sufficed imo
