Dear Arun and Vijay, I would first of all want to thank you for all this amazing information and for all these beautiful stories that you have to tell about the beautiful trees in and around Bangalore, for someone who loves nature and its flora and fauna and often finding very few people to discuss these things with( sadly) these episodes are certainly like breaths of fresh air! Since this episode is about the silk cotton trees, I have seen a massive, majestic silk cotton tree near to my house at Banashankari 2 stage , 21st main ( around 25 min from Lalbagh) this tree is almost 40 meters tall and unlike the sprawling silk cotton tree that u have shown in this episode, this is exceptionally tall( probably the tallest amongst the silk cottons I have seen in Bangalore) I will send in a picture of this tree in some days, but you can always check it out for yourself. Sadly, I know of no stories regarding this mammoth of a tree, but Mr Vijay and you would certainly appreciate the sheer size of the tree

So interesting. I discovered this tree by chance around 30 years ago and was stunned by its collosal size. Thank you Vijay Sir for connecting so many dots and legends. Really enjoyed this episode. 🙏

We would be overjoyed if these videos are included in school curricula. A few schools and colleges have already started recommending the series to their students.

This is just outstanding effort by you Vijay and Arun. I have been at Ceiba tree in the Lalbagh and the Firoz Shah Kotla more than 20 times but did not know the silk cotton tree connection with Ashoka pillar(known as Ashok-ki-laat locally). Big compliments to you two gentlemen for this series. Salute!

Vijay is a very special person, and it is our endeavour to share his knowledge, in his inimitable style, with ALL who are interested - not just the handful of those who are fortunate enough to go with him on a physical walk. We appreciate your message.

the tree did not flower maybe because it was not stressed. it is provided with water all year round and does not get stressed.
