Fun fact, Daniel is talking about japanese denim and refering to love lasting forever, back in the day when japanese people where making japanese denim they never trew their jeans away when they got holes in it, they repaired and stiched their japanese denim together, just like how daniel is talking about relationships, if it is damaged trying to repair it. in my opinion this is one of his greatest songs just by the history of denim and the wordplay. absolute masterpiece.
Both Freudian and CASE STUDY 01 are good listens!

Man back in late 2017 I was dealing with depression pretty heavily and this song was therapeutic af for me. A beautiful song.

LISTEN TO D'angelo! Voodoo is one of my favorite albums and he definitely sounds like Daniel Caeser or has the same type of R&B type of feel.

YESSS one my favorite artists and japanese denim is one of my fav songs from him too. i’ve been to his concert and he sounds EXACTLY the same, even better. in conclusion, he’s just amazing

This made me want to go listen to his album Freudian all the way through again, you NEED to listen to it it’s beautiful
*"Transform"* and *"Death and Taxes"* are also good... but I recommend running into *"Get You"* first.
If you wanted to do another song of his I’d highly recommend streetcar which I think is one of his most underrated songs. Blessed is a heavenly song of his too!

Jon you should listen to won't live here (sad breakup song) and/or death and taxes (I know your gonna love the guitar riff and his sweet falsetto). And of course listen especially to his breakout album Freudian which earned him a nomination for best R&B album that year. Also you can look into his background a little bit. He was homeless, strained relationship with his parents and his religion, depressed, and you guessed it heartbroken.

FREUDIAN is a must listen album and since you really enjoy Daniel Caesar I definitely recommend checking out the album Chasing Summer by TDE's SiR. One of my favorite TDE albums all time
